Guest Anonymous
Sony MZ-N505 Type R Couple of days ago it died =( The problem is a total loss of sound. All the buttons work fine, it connects to the PC via usb fine, records fine, using both the inline remote and the buttons on the player ALL funtions are able to be performed. Just NO sound at all from the headphones.. (yes ive tried the volume =) Ive used the headphones on a friends MD and they work fine so i can discount that.. Any ideas of anymore diagonsitics i can perform to narrow down the fault or what the fault is?
Guest Anonymous
The problem is probably bad soldering of the headphone jack. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, open the case of your unit and take a look.
