Guest Anonymous Posted November 11, 2003 Report Share Posted November 11, 2003 i accidently dropped my friends sharp mt899 and it has two dents on the back, well anyway when i put a disc in it, the remote says 'TOC READ' for about 30 seconds before playing a song, why this happens i don't know. I bet, that not too long now, it won't play or record. Try using the NetMD a few times to record off the computer. Are you getting buzzing-like sounds in the recording? Yes? Well that's because the lens housing unit is cracked, which happens quite often when these units are dropped. It makes me very angry about MD units. It happened to me and I feel ripped off!
