Guest Anonymous
Hi. Looking to purchase some equipment to record my choral group. I think I would need to have stereo inputs for right and left channel microphones and perhaps one for the keyboard.I think I would ultimately dump it to a computer and burn CD's from them. Question: Can I do this with minidisc? Is this the right equipment for me or should I loook into digital multitrack recorders? What kind of mics should I get? Condenser, omnidirectional, cardoid? I know very little about this but need to make a fast decision before the money is allocated elsewhere. Thanks a lot!
BerkY
You can only dump it to computer in analog. If thats fine for you then burning CDs shouldnt be a problem. I do not know how the quality will be though as I never tried recording a choral group. But I doubt it will great when recording live since the mic will pick up other sources as well. You would need to connect it directly.
