Guest Anonymous
Hi! I'm new to this forum and have checked around a little but not found an answer to the following: I am a musician. Until now I've been connecting an old Sony MZ-R37 to the "Tape out" on my mixer for recording my performances ( to do a "quality check " of my work - i.e. the sound, the mix and the performance). Since I've had a lot of requests for it, I'm considering making a live CD. The MZ-R37 recordings doesn't sound too bad on the MD, but they loose quality when I transfer them to a PC since I have to make an analog "re-recording" with the MD connected to the PC line in. Besides I suspect the new MDs has a much better sound quality! I've seen these new Sony Net MDs with USB interface. Are there any chance that I can make a digital transfer FROM the MD to the PC? And how is the quality of the analog line in on these MD recorders? What would be the best option for me (I want something portable)? Thanks a lot for even reading this SyrinxGC
Guest Anonymous
sorry but you cant transfer anything from your MD to your PC except tracks you put on ur minidisc from there orignially. It sucks i know but it is to protect sonys copyright or some Bulls***

Guest Anonymous
A very small number of models do, and they're very highly coveted.
mAjEsTiC
decks feature optic outputs more frequently than portables...i've only seen like a few portables with optic outputs and they're very old models...
