bssvibe
Hey I am not exactly a newbie, I just haven't posted to this website in so long that I had to re-register. Anyway, I have a Blue Sony MZ-R700 which I bought brand new when they first came out in 2001. The problem I am having is during the playback after I have recorded a dj set from the line in. Every 10 to 15mins the sound will dropout during playback. Not in long spurts but just a split second or so. I have searched through the message board here and I can't find anything that matches the problem I am having. Ideas? Suggestions?
BerkY
Did you use a powered mic? If so the mic might not have recorded with utmost precision and there might cut-outs like that. May i ask why you did not record from the mic in socket?
bssvibe
Nope no mic. Just straight jacked into the LINE IN using rca cables from the master out of the mixer to 1/8'' jack to the LINE IN of the MD. I didn't use a mic because I am connected to the mixer. This isn't a LIVE club/concert type of recording I am doing. So I guess I shouldn't say it's a LIVE recording in the subject header then.
BerkY
Mope that doesnt qualift as a live recording but still it shouldnt be doing it... Weird problem. maybe its the cables? you can change it try it again and see if it gives the same problem. if not then there might some problem with the LINE IN jack... bssvibe
I figured the problem. It was the disk itself. Damaged mini disk. Tried a new disk and no problems. Yeah! Thanks for the help....
BerkY
Yea sometimes you just have to use the good ol trial and error method way to work out the problem... like trying new cables and in your case new media... glad you solved it. cheers BerkY
