Guest Anonymous
I have a Sharp MT 877 - although I don't think the problem is model specific. Anyway, when I plug in headphones to the earphone jack, I can only hear through the right channel. I can hear through both the left and the right channel only by putting some pressure against the earphones's wire from immediately above the rear side of the MD player (where the wire connects to the player). If I push the plug in 3/4ths (or so) of the way, I'll hear sound out the left channel, but not the right. I have this problem with every earphone being used, these earphones work fine with all other devices. Also, using the remote doesn't help. I went to a fit-it shop, which said they could try to fix it, but it would cost $35. It's no longer under warranty. Does anybody have any advice about what can be done? The MD is great for recording and I'd hate to have to replace it!
BerkY
Well if the earphones work perfectly with other equipment then the only problem is the jack. And you might have to get it replaced. These tend to happen after a while if you fiddle too much with the jack or constantly change headphones. Ah well, looks like another repair job matey!
