Guest Anonymous
I have an N707 and I have recorded a live music show on it. I desire to record these songs on my computer so I can convert them to mp3 and share with my friends. I will be recieving a Audigy Platinum eX soundcard soon, complete with all the nice soundcard recording ammenities. I realize I can't record to my PC digitally from my netMD since I only have an Optical Line-In on it. My question is, can I record in analog from this netMD to my new soundcard and how? Can I just plug in a wire from my headphone jack on my netMD to a line-in jack from my new soundcard and set my computer to record? I ultimately would like to get a minidisc deck which has an 'optical out' to record through 'optical in' on my new soundcard. Can any one confirm my thoughts here or at least lead me in the correct direction. If this has been addressed before, sorry.
Guest Anonymous
nevermind, I just read the answer. First of all you cannot copy music from the MD to the PC. At least you cant do it digitally. You can do it in an "analog" fashion. All you have to do is connect your MD (LINE OUT/headphone) to your soundcards LINE IN. then play the songs you want on the MD and use a recorder on the computer to record what the MD is playing. Only that way you can record music from the MD to the PC. Thanks, berky
mAjEsTiC
if u haven't hacked ur N707 to enable the LINE OUT feature on the menu just set the volume level to 30/30 and turn off EQ/Sound settings...then use the headphone out to the LINE IN of the Audigy at the back of the card...
