MD to PC digitally: it´s possible

that only transfers music from PC -> MD digitally and not the other way around...since most (nearly all) portable MD units do NOT have an optical output it can't use the optic cable to transmit digitally from MD -> PC...also i think if you read closer it says that it uses normal analogue cables to connect from MD -> PC...so recording to PC is done via analogue means...from what i've encountered only decks with optical outputs can transfer digitally from MD -> PC...

hehe...enjoy ur MD unit...it's a flagship model so it will have quite a lot of features that u'd expect in a high end model...it doesn't need the XiTeL device to transfers from MD -> PC as you're just wasting more money than buying a 3.5mm stereo cable and connceting it that way...unless u want to record from ur PC through digital (and ur soundcard doesn't have a TOSLink output) then this device will come in handy as it uses a USB port to create a digital output from your computer bypassing the soundcard (if u have a dodge soundcard this would be a pretty good buy IMO)...

Would seem to me that this would be a simple process for transfering Live recordings form your MD to your Comp.......all you need to to is buy a split cable from headhone jack into RCA's and it should work.....Anyone know how the software works and what format it gets converted into?

Well, I have it!!!

Yesterday I did buy my MZ-N910 and... it´s fantastic!!! Today I have recorded one concert with my own music (for piano) and the sound it´s incredible!!! (it´s true that it isn´t professional, but for that money, it´s impressionant).

Scotty, I will transfer music from my MD to my PC with the method that mAjEsTiC says. The soft that I will use it´s the Sound Forge.

Thanks and greetings.
