FlipFantastic
I cant seem to get things to sound CD quality in the car with my N510 that came with the car attachment. I think part of the problem is that i have to turn the volume on my car up so high. When i switch back to radio the sound is 10x louder, why does the MD player play so soft? I have even tried turning up the volume on the player itself all the way up (only goes to 30 ?!?) before touching the car knob, but the car knob still needs to be cranked up to the point of fuzzy sounding speakers. Sounds great with headphones, but i bought the thing for its dual use abilities... Any fixes? thanks, FF
KLank
Normally you do have to turn the volume on the MD player all the way up when using the cassette adapter. You did mention that you tried this. The other thing that comes to mind, do your your cassette player have an auto-reverse function. If so, try hitting the button to make it switch sides. If it is attempting to play the back side of the cassette adapter you will get very faint sound. Give it a try!
FlipFantastic
Ah, finally got it to work. Since i have a rotary volume dial in my car i have to turn it all the way down before i push in the digital tape, push play on the MD remote, then adjust volume accordingly. I found the fix in the manual, i guess it is good for something FF
