Guest Anonymous
I used to have a sharp with the Ni-Mh battery, but the cheaper end of the Sharp MD recorder range take only 1 AA battery. How many hours do you get when recording with a Duracell battery for example?? I am looking at the Sharp IMDR420H or others around that price range in the UK? How does the 1 AA battery perform relative to other batteries?
Guest Anonymous
In my experience with Sonys an AA battery lasts considerably longer than a gumstick and you can always carry a spare--a much better deal. Look at the equipment browser from the minidisc.org homepage for comparative battery life.
Leland
My experience is the same. The gumsticks have never given me the life I expected compared to the manufacturers claims, whereas the AA does. The AA units seem to last forever.
