sobe
I want to make interviews and sound recordings with a portable MD-recorder and a professional microphone for radio reports. It should have digital line in and out and manual audio level control. Which equipment has these features and is recommended?

I suggest minidisco.com---read up on affordable Sharp portables for sale.
Guest Anonymous
Current portables don't have a digital line out except for the ancient grandaddy of them all, Sony's MZ-1 (they still turn up on Ebay). You'll need a home deck to get a digital out. Or wait for the Hi-MDs in April, which are supposed to work more like an external hard drive.
