Guest Anonymous
 OK, so i connect my MD line-out to my PC soundcard line-in (and I've tried Mic). Open MusicMatch, set it up to record line-in, press record button, press play on MD. Everything whirrs nicely. Stop to playback AND NOTHING HAS RECORDED... Same happens with AudioEdit and Dexster and I'm about to put my head through the monitor. I'm sure I'm doing sthg wrong as I'm new to this BUT can't work out what! Any helpers, please??? mAjEsTiC
did u make sure that ur Line In wasn't muted through window's sound panel??? try checking that...if not then is there anyway that u can check the input levels while recording??? if u own a Creative soundcard Creative's recorder will allow you to monitor the recording levels from the inputs so it give u a good indication whether or not anything is going through... Guest Anonymous
Thanks 4 yr reply Yep, line-in NOT muted; nothing's showing up on the waveform on the recorder EXCEPT.... system sounds from my desktop theme! Which makes me think the recording side's working OK and i know the MD's working, cos it uploaded to a friend's laptop the other day (same cable, incidentally). I can't monitor on my soundcard but using AudioEdit you can see the waveforms .... on other people's systems! Dave
Mystyler
Have you ensured that you have selected the line in as the desired recording source, and that Windows is using the correct device (sound card) for recording?
