Mz N505 Button So frustrating!

This problem is quite common in MZ-N505's, I know several people that have experianced this after time. It *could* be due to dust build up, in which case a good idea would be to grab a can of compressed air and try blowing it around the buttons. The reason I suggest this fix is because I know of a similar case in which it's fixed the same problem on an MD-DR7, however the problem may be down to the actual firmware.

If that fails, you can try opening it (providing the warranty has expired anyway) and try giving it all a clean, getting rid of the dust etc. around the buttons. If this doesn't work, I doubt it's worth getting it repaired by Sony as you could probably pick up a higher model on eBay for the same amount as the repair costs.

Good luck!
