.me,

I get the same thing when running Sonic Stage 2.0. It happens when I try to transfer to minidisc, I've tried two models, and the same thing happens for both.

An interesting note, I was going to try the method where you use nero to burn an image to the hard drive and then use simple burner to transfer to minidisc, but nero gave the same error message when I tried to add tracks to burn the image. RealPlayer worked, on the other hand.

Very confusing! Anyone know what is up with this? I was trying to use both .mp3 and .wma files, and neither worked. I'm thinking that it might be the software, but it is strange that Nero gives the error message, too.

  • 4 weeks later...

i had a similar problem. says something like 'sonic stage only supports 16 bit 44100Hz recordings, please use supported media' etc.

in my experience it appears to be sonicstage not recognising the rights info and makes it invalid. i cunningly changed the tracks using a shareware mp3 editor by removing 10 frames or so from the beginning of the track which isn't noticeable (esp. if its blank sound to start with) and then reimported it.

obviously sonic stage thinks its a completely new track and starts from the begining. it generally works for me although a complete hastle to do if it happens a lot.

let me know if it helps

dave
