Simple Burner Help!

I just got my MZ-N510CK today. I installed the drivers and all the software and stuff. When I put a CD in my D drive and a minidisc in the player, hook it up with a USB standard->mini cable, pick LP2, and click Record. Then it just stays at 0%, not making any progress. How can I make it record? Also, when I close the Simple Burner, and try to open it again, it says "Simple Burner is already Running". How can I fix this stuff? Do I need to use the exact usb cable that came with the unit, or what?

Okay, I got it to work for a little, but now it stopped again. I click Record, and it just stays at 0% forever, and the first track just says "Ready". When it was working, It started immediately. How can I make it start working again?

that's sony's programming 4 ya... um best bet is to not use it if ur getting a lot of trouble...u could try using either SonicStage 2.0 or RealPlayer 10 to transfer...i've had far less problems while using these 2 softwares as opposed to SimpleBurner...

Thanks! I hadn't tried SonicStage before, because I thought it was only for tracks already on your hard drive (not CDs), but I discovered you can go the CD->MD route there as well. Question, tho: Does it save anything on my computer when it does that?

unfortunately yes...they save them as .omg files...which u can then delete off ur hdd when ur done...SimpleBurner does this automatically but yep since u seem 2 have problems with it just delete the songs from ur hdd once ur done ripping...

try upgrading to SonicStage 2.0...this is by far more stable than the previous version IMO...i've been using it on my laptop to transfer to both MS and MD and they both work fine...the .omg file should be located in a specific folder it should be located in the Settings > Location to save record files...
