TimD
I am new to this forum so bear with me please. I have an MZ-N510 unit, running Win98SE on the PC with Simple Burner version 1.1.00.11141. I have no problem at all using Simple Burner for moving my audio CD's to MD. This has been working fine for several months. I decided this morning to move all of my Audio Books On CD to MD for an upcoming vacation, figuring that I wouldnt have to take so many CD's if I can pack up to 5 of them per MD. When I try to transfer the Audio Books On CD to MD, the percentage counter during the read cycle makes it to 46% and errors, giving me a Simple Burner error message of "Reading From Audio CD Is Failed. The Recoding Session Has Stopped". These disks are a standard .CDA format such as Track01.CDA, Track02.CDA, etc. I can put any regular music CD in and it transfers to MD perfectly. The problem happens on all of my Books On CD only and any of the set I try so the problem isnt a defective CD. I am thinking that some protections scheme is kicking in, preventing the transfer to MD but am not sure as to how to get around it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to make this transfer to MD? The help would really be appreciated.
TimD
Thanks for all of the input. I finally got it figured out as it was a problem in the original installation registery entries. It is running like a champ now.

musicbc
Hello anyone having this problem. I did some more searching on here and got everything to work. Here are some notes from other people and from me combined that will hopefully help... If your recordings start to fail... How to properly reinstall NetMD: 1. Uninstall all OpenMG related software via the Add/Remove Programs control panel and reboot as necessary. This means, OpenMG 2.2, related 'Limited Patches' and the 'Secure Module', SonicStage, Simple Burner, and RealOne. Make sure that you unplug your unit. 2. If you run Windows XP, proceed to delete directories within "Program Files" and 'Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSony Corporation' 'Program FilesCommon FilesSony Shared' 'Program FilesSony' relating to OpenMG. 3. Start -> Run -> regedit. The 'Registry Editor' utility should appear on your screen. Delete the references to OpenMG located under 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareSony Corporation' and 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareSony Corporation' by right-clicking on the entries. *NOTE: I do not run any other sony products on my computer, so I deleted EVERYTHING that came up with the registry search for "sony" "simple burn" and "openmg". You have to uninstall and delete (in the registry, etc) everything related to Sony and OpenMG. Once everything is "fresh", then reinstall the drivers, then Simple Burner, and OpenMg - and then reboot after the installation. *NOTE: After I did this (uninstalled the programs, deleted all the registry entries, reinstalled everything and rebooted) my recordings worked fine again. crazeybt1
one other detail.... uninstalling n reinstalling will work ..but from my experience..after doing that a coulple minutes later the same thing would happen...what i found out was that Sonic Stage n OMG don't work properly when there's Nero 5.xx series on ur system..so just incase it happens n u have NERO 5.xx on ur system u can try uninstalling that n it's suppose to work fine..but that' sjust incase
