batlbot
I have had my MD for about a year and love it. Mostly I have used RealPlayer to load MP3s to the MD. No Problem. Recently I loaded SS2 and ripped several CDs straight to .omg format to the hard drive of my PC. After all that effort, when I try to "transfer" the files to my MD with SS2, I get the message "Cannot load the rights information for the selected tracks." UUUUGGGGHHHH!!! An ideas what is wrong? From what I understand, this rights thing should not be an issue, these are freshly ripped tracks. Thanks!
BJ
If Sony insists on frustrating its loyal users like this (constantly), I say let's all take the money we WERE going to spend on the Hi-MD machines and pay some programmers to crack Sonic Stage/Open MG. Let's get rid of all these closed gates. And while they're at it, maybe the programmers can make them a little more intuitive and easier to deal with. Sorry, Batlbot, I don't have any useful information for you. You'd think Sonic Stage would accept its own tracks...
doclloyd
Yea, that is definitely a strange issue. I haven't had any problems to date with CD's that I've directly imported, nor with mp3's that I imported to transfer to MD. The only problem I've had is re-downloading tracks purchased off of Connect (and Sony knows about the problems - and I got 10 free songs for notifying them. Back to the topic). Re-downloading apparently resets all transfer rights to 0. Nice, huH? They're working on a fix. One option, if you haven't explored it already, is to delete the tracks you imported and try it again, just for kicks. Or, if you have a relatively fresh install of SS2 and not much of a library to concern yourself with yet, a uninstall/re-install is worth a shot perhaps... but I'm not well-versed with SS2 problems. Others here may have more info than I. Good luck.
