Christopher
Nice topic. I joined the forums long ago after being a continuous reader of minidisc.org, but after a while of such disarray I joined the Minidisc T-Board. I camped there for a while, and it was nice, but the potential for this forum to blossom into a nice place was too great for me to ignore. I'm not saying that the previous operation before my interactions wasn't efficient [some of the moderators who kept this place running then are really fantastic people in my mind], but it did need a change. I came back here last Feb/March and I haven't looked back.
alieninhead
I got into this forum not too long ago; I began reading more and more posts and decided one day to actually participate. I grew tired just reading everything on Minidisc.org. I probably have contributed something since I've been here, I've also never had an official welcome. So I'm just awesome like that. I have become a huge fan of the format in the short time I've lived with it (aprox. 6 months) and find it to be not only good as far as size vs. quality, but its just plain fun'n'cool. ~a.i.h. Your participation is more than I could've ever asked for, and I apologize for not welcoming you! I've welcomed so many people I'm starting to lose track [i certainly didn't expect that when I first joined the team]. So..welcome!

BJ
Wow...there's so much wub in here I think I just stepped in some... :rasp: I found minidisc.org when I was looking around for info/reviews on portable recorders (back when the Sharp MD-MS702 was the machine to beat). I had known since I first heard about MD in the early 90s that it was the format for me, but my wallet was thin. So I lurked around minidisc.org and gathered information, and finally had the funds to buy a used 702. I've been checking back on and off since, but I became a full addict of the site a couple years ago. I enjoy experimenting, I love collecting information and reading reviews, and if I find a cheap machine on eBay or wherever, I'll buy it so I can experience its quirks firsthand. I try not to relate information I'm doubtful on (which is why I usually ask for backup), but I try to be helpful. And I really like the new forum, Kurisu--it's refreshing and welcoming. Oops, sorry....more wub.
aihe
I found this forum some time ago on Google. For people like me (who are not very technically minded) that need information about what to buy, there is nothing better than reading the comments good or bad, about a unit you might be interested in. I read everything that I could find about a couple of units and thanks to the Mods and Members it made deciding on what to get much much easier. After being a guest on this forum for a while I decided to register, after all you never know what you might be able to offer someone else in the future.
