coolice
I'm new to minidiscs (I just bought a 600 to get a feel of them). If I like it, I'm going to exchange it with a 900 (when it comes out), otherwise I'm going to go with an ipod mini. So far I like the 600, the sound quality is good, sonicstage was also very easy to use. The only complain I have so far is the navigation. Compared to other mp3 players like the ipod the navigation of the 600 is not that good. The lcd is small and it's hard to navigate through it. This was probably not a setback before, since the discs didn't have that much capacity, but with 1gb discs navigation becomes important. For example here's a problem I'm having: Say I want to select a playlist of 20 songs. I bookmark the songs I want and then start to play them using the bookmark play mode. After I'm done with the playlist I have to go to each and every song to remove the bookmark in order to clear the playlist! :wacky: Is there an easier method to do this?! In the ipod you could easily clear your playlist and then build a new one. thanx!
Christopher
Nice little mini-review. I will note that this is the budget model for Hi-MD, and probably has the worst capabilities for navigation - I expect better results with the higher-end models [not to mention they'll come with remotes]. I'm not really sure about playlists [hopefully someone else will chime in], though..did you read the manual?
Sbetsho
I too wish that the screen would be much larger.. my MZ-N510's screen is ridiculously small
mutant1345
i agree that the 600d is a a budget model but if you look at it in one way its only got a few small little dissapointments that may be a tiny bit annoying things but i mean c'mon its the cheapest model and the best deal i think u just gatta deal with it and dont sweat the small stuff but i guess everyone looks at the size of a problem differently.....
