lol, not quite. :grin: I think they were going for the rustic look, and the pictures probably don't do it justice. The appearance makes me think that this is something that I would expect to see hundreds of years from now, like an old relic or something like that. Anyone seen one of these IRL?

In case you want to know what exactly those things are, they are called Kodamas, and are benign forest spirits, according to director Hayao Miyazaki on his film "Princess Mononoke". Go rent it, watch it, (DON'T select the English audio option. It's awful. Japanese+subtitles=good), and you'll see them in it.
