a_no_1
Does anyone know how to overcome the problem of a broken eject botton on a Sony R900? Is there some way I can open and close the machine without the need for the eject button and then perhaps put a band around the machine to stop it opening. Is the button just a catch that keeps the lid from popping open or does it have some electronic connection? Any ideas on how to solve the problem (preferably without throwing the machine away, as the eject button is the only thing wrong with it.) Mat
I think it is a 'catch'. I would try to repair it via sony or a repair shop since it is unlikely to cost very much. You can still try to open the screws & everything but only if you know what your doing since you can easily cause further damage to the R900. aeriyn
I wouldn't try fixing it yourself. There is an electrical part of the eject switch; the switch does not function (will not open, no matter how many times you press it) while the recorder is doing a TOC Edit. I would send it to Sony for repairs... and I think the prediction of inexpensive cost is optimistic. >.>;
