Ppk3000
You need Sony's SonicStage software (download at connect.com) and the PC >> MD USB cable connected both ends to transfer audio from the computer to the MD. A "nice audio sound" recording solution is to spend a lil bit more on the microphone (and maybe a amp box depending on what you're recording). I have no idea what your budget is, thus "broke" means little to me .

Sonyuser_r70 your problem with the pc link is due to driver issues i'd believe, now i have a r70 but mine didn't come with the pc link..(scratching my head) so i'm not sure which model yours came with but i know sony shipped them with to models could you identify the model that came with yours?, or you can do your recordings via analog with the male sterio mini plug cables which looks like ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...84771&CatId=453 ) and altho the recordings might sound good there are some variables ...mainly your sound card (being able to produce a clean static free signal etc..) and other noises you might encounter like having your mic on while recording or having system sounds enabled and things of that sort.....
