Ok. We'll need a bit more info to see where the problem is.

Is he trying to upload his recordings to the CPU, and then recording to CD? IIRC, you cannot upload PCM yet as it is. Think SS converts it into OMG/Atrac. (correct me if I'm mistaken.) And Nero won't convert Atrac/OMG to CD.

So his best option is to copy his music from the MD unit to the computer, but in Real time. (MD into play mode, connected to the CPU's line-in jack, and some media player into record mode, encoding into Wav/MP3.) then burn those recorded tracks to CD.

It's the best I can think of. Good luck.

Joey: See here.

More on this, though:

* You can upload recordings made on your HiMD into SonicStage [which occasionally trashes them due to bugs in how it handles things]

* The recordings are uploaded in the format in which they were made [i.e. PCM, HiSP, HiLP]

* There is currently no export mechanism in SonicStage for these uploaded recordings, and burning them to CD from SS in not permitted

The only solutions for full-digital transfer are in the post linked above.

edit: only *known* solutions *I have seen*.

Hey thanks for helping me fix this problem. I also contacted Sony directly, and they said that it could be burned but only into a ATRAC CD. Which we all know is totally worthless unless you have a Sony portable CD player. As soon as there is a hack for this please let me know.
