manuelcasi
Sorry for the newbie question here. I promise I spent all day researching and reading FAQs. Here is my question. I am very active (run, cycle, adventure race, moutian bike ride, backpack, ect). I looked at the ipod but everyone says it skips when you run with it? I have a Net MD i have used for Marathons and half day events (100 mile rides) & am very pleased with it but I need something that will work for 24 hours and muilt day races. I am also plaing a ride across the country. I want to put a ton of MP3 on multiple 1 gig disk. I know sonic may not transfer all of them but a few disk worth should do. I should mention when I cycle I usually only have on ear peace in so I can hear the traffic behind me so great sound is not a concern. My Mini disk (Mz-ne410) uses a regular AA Battery. That would be nice in a Hi-md model for it is easier to carry extra batterys then find an electrical outlet in the woods. Also she should be blond 5'2'' 36 24 36 ..... Kidding but I do know I am asking for the moon here. Last request cheap is better no need for a line in I will only us it to play MP3s (I know its not an mp3 player I got that). Thanks for any help Manuel Casillas
jadeclaw
Well, if you want a chick magnet, take the NH1. However, since it should be cheap and take AA cells and line in is not needed, the NH600 is the closest choice.

mutant1345
ha, youve chosen the right player for active needs the nh6600 is infact the one i would recomend if you no need for any other ports than usb and as for the quality thing definetley go for hi-lp if you get one and dare i say if quality is really of no concerns whatsoever and you just wanna hear some noise that you can beat to then i may just recomend 48 k/ bits but you better be the decider the quality of that depends on the music you listen too 48k can mutalate some music and do liitle to other kinds, but yes the 600 is the mz-ne410 of the himd players (budget just enough but good enough model--in a short description)
aeriyn
Moving to correct forum... I don't actually recommend the NH600D purely because it is unable to obtain audio from any other source than SonicStage. That may be all you want now, but what about later? You might find that you like to record things live. NH700 is a lot like the 600, but it has more intuitive controls, has more inputs (optical/line, microphone as well as USB) and it's a little more attractive. Also it uses AA batteries rather than gumsticks or Li-Ions. Check it out.
