  1. Actually, this was supposed to be a reply to the thread, but it's long, and I didn't want to delete it, so I post it here. It's just some personal user experience. Hopefully it'll give you a better picture of the player itself... If you are not already familiar, that is. By the way, I was absent from Sony's product for a while, so don't be surprised if I'm amazed at something you already know. (Laugh) Here we go~ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually, I bought one from Sony Store about 2 weeks ago. (Canada) It was great. ... Okay, I lied. It was AWESOME. I was somewhat planning to give it a try, and if I don't like it, I'll just refund or whatever... But the moment I play the demo song with my Shure e3c in my room... I was sold. A demo was Jack Ingrim's Ava Adele (Country) was clear, nice and moving. Damn it, I'm a techno/house, pop, and rock fan. Country was the last thing I wanted in my mp3 collection. But That song... it was so awesome... I actually didn't want to delete it!! Anyway, the clear audio was good.... With the clear bass, I could really feel the bass viberating, working shure to its full potential. What's best is, it doesn't have to problem of "break sound" when you put the clear bass to the max. (I had that problem when I use max bass with my creative V-Plus) The video quality was great, and the album art display... awesome. It really showed off the details beautifully. The player's shuffle was actually quite awesome as well. I actually get a balanced shuffle, in whatever mode it has. (ie. Time machine, favorite...etc.) I enjoy the feature that you can delete the song, but can rescue them before you hook it to your computer. The battery-life was awesome. My first initial charge actually took less than 3 hours. (2:40, I think) and when I play it... I think it last pretty long for a 30-hour play life. Of course, it has all of the nice technologies I loved. (AVLS~!! <3) The surround sound technology was good, but I actually prefer it shut off. Plus, whether in stand by mode or complete shut off, you can get back to your music in 1 second or less~!!! XD (For the A800 series, even when you shut it off, it's in stand by mode, which cause VERY VERY LITTLE battery, it will only fully shut off itself if you leave it for about an day.) Now, the program... For the pictures and movies, I can put them in folders like I did in PSP, but the image converter 3 was pretty good, so I used that. By the way, I can actually watch a full episode of BLEACH WITH SUBTITLES clearly!! So happy!! <3 The Sonic Stage... it has improved so much since the last time I use it. (Some old version when I bought NW-E99... It was easy to use, fast, and pretty convinient. Okay, maybe not that fast, but it's fast enough for me. I just put the songs I want to add, and go take a shower or get some snacks. By the time I'm back, it's usually done. (Last time I checked, I add about 600MB of mp3, it took about less than 10 mins to convert (Atrac 256kbps) and put into my player. I learn this from other places, which I love so much... =_=+ I listen to alot of asian musics, (Chinese, Japanese, Korean), and I naturally had the worries that the languages isn't being supported. From the other forums, I learned you can actually use Microsoft Applelocal to change the language version of the sonic stage, thus, having all the languages you like to co-exisit peacefully in the same place, same time!!! (Of course, that is if the player support the language. ) I'm amazed on how many languages the player support. It seems like SONY has wised up and make it muti-langual like PSP... In fact, the interface really is like a PSP.. except the x-bar style. I noticed there's a firmware. (Currently 1.00) I'm looking forward to the future Firmware upgrades!! XD (Next stop, full wall paper support~!!!) I don't think there's home brew's problem with this sony product this time. (LAUGH) I spent 300$ CND for this 8GB version, + 13.5% tax, and 3 year warrenty... Initially, I was worried if I blew too much for this baby. But now I know it's all worth it. I think this one will accompany me for a long, long time~!!=_=+ If I have to say a flaw, I'd say the selection of colours. I wanted a white one... but they only had black availabe for 8GB... so... Black it is!! ||| Thanks for readying this post... I guess it's long enough to be a topic... but I'm just dropping by... So... yeah. P.S. I'd STRONGLY SUGGEST people to buy the silicon cover or at least the leather case for the player, because it's easy to get scratched. Especially the screen. They have a protective film that came with the silicon case, but just in case you screw-up putting it on, you can always go to your local cell phone provider to get a screen protector film seperatly. The screen size is pretty much the size of most of Sony Ericsson's phones. Which is Sony's 2" standard. P.P.S. Since I'm just dropping by... try not to count on I'll be back for any questions from this post... I'll try, but no guarantees. (Maybe Text messages work better?)

    PSP Regions?

Hi, People, I'd like to share my experience with you. First of all, I got my PSP from Taiwan, too. I bought it at the end of June in 2005. It was a fun time, I missed it very much... (Looking away to the sky...) Anyway, I live in Canada, and recently my little brother bought a PSP as well... which is around August of 2006. My PSP is region 3, and his region 1. My PSP's bar-coded sticker tells me PSP 1007, and my borthers PSP 1000(If I remember right.) He's got this Region 1 UMD movie, which is "Not another Teen Movie". He played it just fine... and I was bored and tried to play it... Guess what? It works~!! XD To be honest, I never finished the whole movie since I've seen it already, and I haven't try to watch a region 3 UMD movie yet. So, like everyone else, I used to think this region only works on Movies... but guess not. By the way, both of our firmware were 2.6(If i remember it right.) I bought mine as Value pack, with native firmware 1.5 My brother bought it as Basic pack, with native firmware 2.5 or 2.6 I wonder if the firm ware is just for shows? Eitherway, I don't really care... I usually just watch MVs on my PSP... As for movies... I'll leave that with TVs. =_=+ See you around.
  3. Hi, New in here. I'm at work now so I can't post any wall papers... but I usually download them at websites. Most of them were about the same, and have nagging rules or slow lags... Only a few doesn't. www.themepsp.com is one of the first, and nice site to get PSP wallpapers. Almost 98% of my wall papers came from there... or some other sites. Hope you guys/girls like it... Oh, did I mentioned that I didn't post the wallpapers was also because I'm lazy? XP See you people around.
