Hi folks, Too bad nobody had anything to say about this - because the same thing has just happened to me. I compiled a whole lot of tracks (maybe about 60) into an album and then I renamed the album. The result was that the album plus all the contents disappeared from my library without a trace (SonicStage 4.3). Before I realized it was gone, I set about compiling a similarly large number of tracks into another album and then tried to rename it. This time the new name simply wasn't accepted (that's when I started to look for the first big compilation and discovered it was gone). There's plenty of memory available. How do I get that album back, and what is it exactly that SonicStage doesn't like? Hoping for help, Monica

Hi, Is there really no way to delay the shutoff? I also find this very annoying. (The idea of continuing play is not too great if you're listening to an audio book, is it?) Cheers, Monica

Thanks for the tips. I am ripping sound tracks from movies using DVD Audio Extractor, which I think does a good job. On two other (cheaper) players the MP3 files ripped by the same program with the default settings played in sync just fine! I tried CBR and sample rate 4410 Hz for the NW-HD5 but it didn't help. The output formats offered by the ripping software are: OGG, MP3, WAV, Direct Stream Demux, CD image and cuesheet. I've only tried MP3, and transferred the files to the player directly (with FileManager) and through SonicStage, with and without ATRAC conversion. None of this solved the delay problem. What's going on here?

Hi everyone, I would like to know if it's just my device (so I can exchange it) or whether it's an NW-HD5 problem: mine plays back about 1 second slower per minute than the playing time displayed, no matter whether mp3 or atrac format. (This is annoying because I need to play in sync with DVD movies.) I would much appreciate it if some of you could test yours and report back! Thanks a lot, Monica

Thanks for the quick reply. DVD Audio Extractor allows me to change plenty of settings. I already tried CBR (128 kbps) and I tried another sample rate (41000 Hz), but it didn't make any difference. I have no idea what settings I should change and why... The other MP3 players that played in sync were cheaper, non-HD players. What can the difference be? Monica

Hi, I use my NW-HD5 to listen to an MP3 file of the English soundtrack of a movie while I watch the movie on a DVD player playing in German for my husband to hear. I rip the English soundtrack using DVD Audio Extractor. The problem is that the MP3 file plays a bit slower than the original. This seems to be a problem with the NW-HD5 player itself, because 1. two other MP3 players I've used with the same procedure play in perfect sync, and 2. I've transferred the MP3 file to the player without using SonicStage (i.e. using the file manager software I found out about on this website - that was great!). Does anyone have an idea where this lag comes from? Thanks in advance, Monica
