yeah i find the bass in the a808 to be lacking as well. i have tried the eq but iot doesnt really make that much of a difference. like you said the s706 has a more punchy bass and i was wondering if i got better quality phones like the westone um2 would there be a discernable improvement in the bass response? also i was wondering if the firmware update made much of a difference?

no you can save it where you want and then run it from there.

i got mine for AU 340. pretty good eh?
