well, i have been using my new s706 for 2 weeks now and i must say that i am pretty impressed, especially of its sound quality! before purchasing it i've read a great number of complaints regarding sonic stage, and thought i could manage it but i must say: sony SHOULD seriously do something about it! it is either user-friendly or "intelligent" in any way. i mean, i know its not supposed to be cleaver or anything but the software is just stupid and user-unfriendly. my latest problem (i've had some already, but mostly figured it out by myself how to tackle the problems): all of the cd-covers/images i've saved suddenly all disappeared one fine day. why???? and, what will happen next? why make it so complicated? does anyone know of any other softwares i could use? my patience is running out. regards

Hi everyone! This is my first post here. Are there any differences between the above-mentioned player being sold in Japan and elsewhere? Would it cause any problems if I have a Japanese model that will run on German Windows? Thank you!
