  1. as in the AC adapter as opposed to the USB adapter.
  2. just buy a generic adapter that comes with all the sizes and can do all the voltages. I picked up one of those for about $5 and it works fine.

    MP3 Encoding Help

if you're going to end up converting a lot of your music, you might as well transcode everything to ATRAC as you'll get more music per GB and you'll use your battery more efficiently.

    NW-HD3 Battery Meter

sony's battery meters have always been made that way.
  5. HD5 charges off the USB. even during transfers, so to me it seems a bit redundant to have it charging of USB and off the mains.
  6. is the OLED one color or two. Because if it like the HD5 displays both white and black pixels, i expect it could show pixels of the colors inbetween black and white.
  7. i think you´d be suprised. Almost every iPod user keeps the white buds and uses them.
  8. check to make sure you're not trying to transfer a file in one of the new bitrates as this won't be compatible with your HD1.
  9. SonicStage 2.3 should have compatibility save for the newer bitrates. But Stuge is correct in saying that 3.3 is more stable than 2.3. As you have the A3000, you could always try SonicStage 2.3 as there is no possibility of it doing any harm to your unit.
  10. i guess you could try yourself the way that people change their ipod batteries, but i'm sure it would void the warranty.

    question before purchase

I think that the HD5 works fairly well, i use it when biking, and it doesn't skip unless i'm on very rough terain (like going down hill in a forrest over tons of roots). HD5 navigation is essentially the same as the A-Series, and i think that if you paire the HD5 with a RM40 remote, you can see the remaining time. Greg would know more about that though.
  12. there's basically as many laptop motherboards as there are desktop motherboards.
  13. xispe - nice work!! works flawlessly with my HD5 ! would be nice if something like this would work with MD.
  14. hey greg, the key for upgrading ram is to make sure that the speeds are compatible with your motherboard. the different sticks of ram don't necessarily need to be of the same speed, but it's usually recommended to have two sticks of the same speed. Since you want to be able to upgrade later on, and add another stick, i'd get 1stick of 1GB running at 333mHz if that's the fastest speed your laptop will take.
  15. Just wondering if anyone had seen this before. http://www.mturk.com/mturk/welcome Discuss.
