I picked one (Pink 4GB) up in the US at woot.com for $79 a couple of weeks ago. The SonyStyle site shows that the 2GB has been cut in price from $199 to $159... and the audio cable is "out of stock" ... I purchased a audio-in cable at the SonyStyle store here in Seattle for $9 - marked down from $27 - so the writing is on the wall I think - they are being closed out.

thx ANGRYBADGER btw is itt able to ID the track and auto cut off every song and record again or its manual recording? oh its in atrac format hmm so i guess no way to convert to mp3 format? Hi madleet3 I haven't tried it as yet just going by the instructions, but it does say that each track can be tagged manually in sonicstage. The NW-S7x creates a new file each time the source has a break between sound output. For example I recorded tracks from an iTunes playlist and as long as you do not set the tracks to fade out & into one another a, a new file is created. The tracks can also be deleted (if you have a false start for example) right on the player, without the need to export the tracks to SonicStage.

I just tried the Recording Cable "WMC-NWR1" that I purchased from the SonyStyle store for $14.99 + Tx - It looks like the on-line store as well of other vendors are out of stock on this too. Very impressive! I recorded from the 3.5mm jack on my Powerbook (Yes you read right, I am a PowerPC - pre-intel Mac person and I have the NW-S705F 2 GB Walkman. I purchased it on Woot.com for a steal - $49+$5 S&h... I've fallen in love with the PINK Sony work of art, but I loathe the SonicStage software. After years of iTunes ease, I feel that I am being punished for buying a non-Mac product.) The default bit rate is 128 kbs and the recording process is a breeze. The sound so far has been impossible to find any difference from the MP3s & Atrac files that I managed to load with the BLANKING software! I used a friends PC,.... More later
