Sorry to say this, but if Sony doesn't release a 64gb model in the US, they've lost me as a customer. I even convinced my oldest son, a 64gb iPod Touch owner, to sell his player and get this if it's released in the USA. But we BOTH require a 64gb model. I have an Archos 5 for vids, and my Sony S639 for audio - I've waited long enough for a sufficient capacity upgrade from Sony. Give us the 64gb of Sony goodness - or say farewell!!!

The problem is that you've been using CBR, as VBR (LAME V~0/or AAC) yields better results.

Gawd, get me a 64gb Sony A Series SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sold my Cowon S9, and I use a Cowon O2 for videos. My S639 is strictly for my music, and the capacity is a bit tight. 64gb in black, and Sony would have a deal. I'm upset over the fact the A Series (in 64gb) won't be released in the US.

I'm just really bummed that this won't see the light of day outside of Japan,..................................what a real bummer.

I already know about the X1000 Series, and it's considered a touchscreen player w/tactile controls. I want a player without a touchscreen, as many of us here are waiting for. And 32GB is the sweet spot. The X1000 Series is also overpriced, considering how lackluster the extras are.
