  1. Hi - welcome to the forums The CD that came with the player should have come with SonicStage (which is used for transferring music) and a nifty program called Image Converter (used for converting/transferring videos or photos). The process is very simple, simply install Image Converter, connect the Walkman and add the file to the list and click transfer - everything should be simple and straightforward I can't really tell you what sites you should be looking at for video downloads as that's actually illegal, but believe me, it is hard to find a SITE where you can download videos from for free For videos to convert, I would recommend sticking to videos such as AVI, MP4 Hope that answers your questions, Kwiksta
  2. I just received my NW-A808 earlier on this week and after seeing this news for the first time, and the news about the S615, I was kind of upset. But now, thinking of it, I really don't mind! After realising that the S615 is kind of similar but certainly isn't any better looking, I'm really happy! Also, the fact that the NW-A818 just released in the U.S.A is pretty much the equivalent and not really some sort of 'upgrade' I'm still happy! The only thing that is a bit upsetting are the offer now that Sony are doing (with the free speakers and all), but I'm not too fussed really I just hope Sony carry on releasing new firmwares and keep us updated (WMP support would be great too!) What do you guys think?
  3. Haha thank you very much for the compliment I highly doubt there was something crucial - otherwise, they wouldn't allow you to format, no? Kwiksta
  4. I would go for the NW-A808! I just don't like the looks of the S61X - however, if they looked the same then I might go for the S61X series as I'm not too fussed about the ear buds. Kwiksta
  5. Oh okay then - Thanks you very much for your reply I just don't want to hurt my new Walkman Kwiksta
  6. Okay, so I just decided to format and straight away, copy all the folders that I had previously backed up (when I connected the player for the first time). They seem to be working fine and so does everything else. However, I'm still worried that this might not have been a good move, can anyone advise me whether what I did was okay? Thanks
  7. Hi all! I have had my NW-A808 for a couple of days now, and I am in love with it! When, I first plugged the player into my PC, the first thing I did was make sure that I made a backup of all the folders and files that originally came with the player. Just today, I was playing around with SonicStage and managed to delete some of my tracks from the player - including the ones that originally came with it! My question is: 1) If I format the player will they (the original files) come back? (I doubt they will) 2) If not, if I format the player and copy all the folders back (from my backup) will the player still operate properly without any complications? Please reply urgently - Thanks a lot in advance! Kwiksta
