Hi, to restore the folders you have to format your player from the player, go to options or settings and advanced and probably you find the format option there, by doing this the OMG folder should be restored!

shure no problem! but you managed to restore you backup? if no try downloading the version i am using, i got in the minidisc forums, it s called SonicStage for connect. the good is that you have the program exe, you don t need to download it from the net, this way you can install on a computer without internet, the program has just 48 mb, and its same as the SS 4.3!

hum i´ve just tried doing and everything is ok, but i´m using another version of SS, the SS for connect store, wich you don t need to download if from the net, maybe this is why mine still working, but if you want to restore your music, just go to the option ´´Import folder´´ and select the folder of you backup, it will import all tracks in there with names and cover arts!

there is another way, you can copy the folder OMG trough windows, paste it in you desktop or anywhere you like, them from sonicstage you select import folder and select the OMG folder, it will copy all tracks that are in that folder, then you can delete the tracks in your WALKMAN you can import the tracks again from the new computer you ve just imported the OMG folder, you can do this on any computer!

there s a better way of doing this, below the button to tranfer the musics to you WALKMAN there s a button with a toolbox inside right? there chose the option to tranfer only in ATRAC format, by doing so all tracks will only be transfered in ATRAC an in the specifc bit rate you want, so you dont have to convert the track, just import the song in mp3, when you tranfer to you player it will automatic convert to ATRAC and tranfer to you WALKMAN in ATRAC, but the song that is in your pc will keep being mp3. any question let us know

i do the same, ATRAC3plus for rip, but if you convert mp3 to ATRAC OR ANY OTHER FORMAT the quality goes down, and vice-versa like AAC to Mp3.

like i said... i guess you re trying drag and drop, but to put music in this player you need to have a software called SonicStage, that s why we asked you what was the version of SonicStage, no the firmware of you player!!!................ just falow the link that stuge provided and you be able to hear your music! ...
