is it possible that the existing songs on the unit were ripped from CD to mp3 using Sonicstage, and that it added some sort of drm to it? I've been using GYM with my Vaio Pocket (40gb version) since its inception, and have not had a problem at all.

just have to give major props to xispe for creating this awesome program...and to vovo for all the bug testing. It works great on my Vaio Pocket (40GB) Now, for one feature request: Would it be possible to add some EQ functions? Keep up the great work guys!!!

unfortunately, as we know, the VAIO Pocket's "sudden popularity" was caused by the recent price drop due to the pending discontinuation of the model. While I would like to think that Sony would give us one more update, I have slim hopes for it. Was the NW-HD1 discontinued already when the Feb 2005 "mp3" firmware was released?

I guess while we're still on the subject of Atrac bitrates, I might as well ask my question. What bitrate does the SS3.2 store downloaded (purchased) music in? Is it still 132kbps Atrac? Is this a SonicStage issue or a Connect issue?
