well ive tried ss 4 on windows 2003 and i get transfer errors =[ hopefully a workaround will come about since 2003 is my fav os! <3 :fingers crossed:

well i just traded my minidisc in for an in expensive, tiny goes-around-my-neck ipod shuffle, and so far i love it! itunes is pretty simple, it converts and transfers very fast and i only have usb 1.1, and 12 hr battery life wow it amazed me, i haven't abandoned md, ill probably buy another md in the future since i have alotta md's lying around, maybe when your able to fully upload, that would be something.. what are your thoughts?

if he did i have these items, 2 cradles silver and the japanese gray with ac and usb and i have 1 battery casing still in wrapper edit:sold!

true, i wish i could transfer at3+ without having to lp2 to my n10 its a good compression idea, but in some songs it gets loose

well the way i see it is you can encode something with better sound quality smaller file size then convert it again which means better codec less space, less space more room am i making any sense? hehe i like it i own an n10 and ive encoded a couple cd's to test at3+ , only thing i dont like about ss2 is you cant adjust where your at when your monitoring a song also it doesn't tell you how much space is left but SP hm geed

ok, if you import a playlist, and convert it at the same time, when you check it out, it will only toc once. if your doing what i think your doing, importing, then converting while check out, (this is what i do, seems faster) this is where it toc after each upload, i do this because it does it in 1 step, import then transfer, . . . anyway i think this trick makes the n10 think it already has it converted?, so let 1 track upload then when it says data save, take it off the stand then replace it, then upload again, it will transfer your list with only 1 toc edit, i think its worth it to do this because constant toc edits take hm an additional few seconds or so for each track data save isn't as long, also sometimes if i add a few albums sometimes the trick sticks, sometimes i have to do it for each list . . still, i think its worth it :roll: geed

hm well ive gotten great performance out of my battery, just keep it on the stand when its home, and hm u shouldn't be having a problem unless your playing mostly sp md's? lp2 takes less power and lp4 even less, but only once have i nearly drained the battery, so for me anyway i dont have a problem with it and i have yet to use my ni-mh rechargeable aa because the lith has depleted,. . . geed

ok this depends on how you do it, if you compile a playlist and convert it at the same time, THEN transfer, theres only 1 toc edit, so, all in 1 step , with only 1 toc edit, thats the thing., also jap ac adapters have no problems in the u.s i'd also like to know about the remote, does it have a 2 line display? geed

i was testing this today and i agree with you and it is amazing in lp4 because it takes no time to convert then save, and it works both lp2 and 4, so in addition to what you were saying id guess it/lp4 increases 4x also if you dont remove it during the first data save of the list it will work normally, well at least for me , , , :x but hey im loving this option and ironically, id speculate the programmers did this (toc crap) so that the unit wouldn't get knocked and u have to do it again? hmhm geed *n10 obsessed

OK, let me resolve this, ehe, if you do convert your list first, it will not toc edit after each save, now if , like me you like to convert while transfering, if you use this technique, ( let your first track convert and during data save take it off the stand, then replace it ) then save the playlist normally it tricks it into thinking it already has it converted, it will convert, save and then finally after all, ONE toc edit. . . hope this clears it up , for me, if you do not remove it during the first data save it will act normally, it will toc after each conversion, anyone have it diffrent? A Permanate non toc after each data save after each conversion ? geed

after it works for a while, it goes back to toc after each data save until u do the technique over again, strange, =? at least for me, anyone else?

wow! this boy found a n10 hack ON ACCIDENT! all i did was, record a track and when it was data saving took it off the stand for a second, SS gave me an error blah BUT i put it back on, tryed recording again, and NO TOC EDIT after each track ONLY after the entire list OMG lol YEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY wow what a happy great wonderful mistake, accident, hack!!!!!!!!!!!! insanely happy, jean-paul
