Hi I currently have an Mz-Nh1 and it is very easy for me to convince myself that the new product is so much better(Rh1) In some cases it really is superior in other cases that is not the truth. I welcome your thoughts on these two models. Thanks Greg Joplin

Hi I'm planning on getting the MZ-NH 1 when it's released and wonder which of the above headphones would be better as far as noticing a louder volume on the MZ-NH1. I was told on this forum to look for a higher SPL and lower impedance. I don't this to my music really loud but on the other hand I like to know that if i'm listening to it at half volume it is plenty loud and I still have more volume to go. I hope I've made myself clear in this matter? Thanks for your help. Greg Joplin

Hi When The MZ-NH1 is released this month in Canada I want to get headphones that will enhance the volume of the MZ-NH1. I want to increase the volume of the music if that is possible.What is important to me is that the headphones aren't bulky,earplugs or small headphones. After I originally posted this I realize from the one response I received I need to make a few things clearer. First,I'm not deaf I have excellent hearing. Second. I would like this question answered from a technical perspective. Last but not least,The statement I made about difference in volume was noticed in a quiet envirement. Thanks Greg Joplin

Hi I've find there was a quite a difference in the volume of Sony MD units vs Sharp MD units. With the new generation of Sony units(MZ-NH1) will I encounter a louder sound. What I mean is that will the Sony be louder at the same volume as other players or will you still have to put the volume almost to max. to get equal volume? Does the new digital amp in the Sony Hi/MD units play any part in the loudness of the players? It's not that i go around listening to my music at high volumes. For example on my Sharp MD-Ms-702 I would be at half the volume and that was more than loud enough This is very important for me to know. Thanks., Greg joplin

Hi I have a sharp MD that I've had since 1998.I just took it out of the drawer after been there for a few years and tried it out. I charged the battery and tried many recored MD's and continued to get the following messages,TOC ERROR,BLANK DISC.I tried all of these disc in my Denon home system and they all worked. I than tried recording on the Sharp MD and got the same messages and the disc wouldn't work in either unit. I went to the Sony Store and tried the Disc there and it worked. I than purchased a Cleaner and came home and tried it. The disc still gave me a Blank Disc message but the Sony Cleaning disc had two songs on it and they work fine. I have no idea what is going on. Why do the songs on the Sony Cleaning Disc work? Thanks for your help., Greg joplin

Hi I just heard back from an employee of The Bay here in Canada who just received and email from their buyer for the Bay who states that the MZ-NH1 will be available the third week in June for $650. Talking to Sony Canada and the Sony Stores is a waste of time, they all seem to be in the dark about this product. Just a few days ago I talked to a Sony store and was informed any day now? You would think this is a top secret product. The product is listed at various US web sites for $399 and they state the arrival as been very soon. Quite a price difference between the States and canada. Anyone else have any new information in regards to this product? Thanks Greg Joplin

Hi I was talking toa Sony store employee who informed me a couple of days ago that they will be available around April 16/2004.The price that I'm hearing is $599-$649 Canadian. I agree with the discussion on this board about importing from the USA is cheaper for sure. But,in saying this I also realize the downside.What if you don't like the unit or have problems with it? It would be a pain and costly to take care of this situation. In a perfect world if you knew you would have no problems with the unit and were sure your going to keep it than the USA wins hands down. Hi Any more news on the release date for the Sony MZ-NH1? I phoned there head office in Toronto a couple of weeks ago and they still don't know, maybe this year,maybe next? I'm also wondering about the old blank MD's will I be able to download files and music on theese also? I know I can on the new 1 gig MD's. Thanks., Greg Joplin
