battery life not very impressive design is wierd, what's that knob thing? a joystick like sony?
-
Amen to that brother.

That's pretty pointless since you can buy the CD and just copy it yourself, and you'll still have the CD as an uncompressed source.
-
oh cool, thanks for telling me

With that vast a storage space, beats the purpose of having swappable discs.

I have a player only that i bought from ebay and it takes gumstick but it has no charging cradle. I need to recharge de gumsticks, where can i get an external charger. I want a retailer in north america because i've tried importing stuff from hong kong in ebay and it just never came and it's not the first time something from hong kong gets stuck in the customs.

Now lets not all go crazy just because it says here what would be the DREAM md unit. Part of what makes an md appealing is also the price, and some put that more as a priority than others. So i'd rather see them actually cutting down on some of the more useless options instead of trying to add more features. Can't think of anything specific right now though. Hell, if my MD could do everything i would dream of, it'd have to play every possible format, have an atomic battery that lasts for millenia, PDA with stylus, GPS, cell phone, play movies, video games, project holographic strippers, can teleport me to school, phaser, remote control a satellite that can scract my ass from space with a laser beam, do my calculus exams for me, and vibrate and pleasure me sexually. Thanks.

Hi-MD User Manuals, Storage Drive + NH600 Knockoff
Spare Tire replied to Christopher's topic in News
I don't see why they're making it USB 2 if the disc can't even use a significant fraction of the bandwidth. And USB 1 devices can be used with USB 2 connections, but not the reverse, so this is full of shit for people with old USB 1 computers. -
Holy shit, have you seen the size of the reader!

Thanks for the very helpful advice. What about these ones? http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 They have the rounded walkman font but instead of being vertical, they are in horizontal packs.

Hi-MD User Manuals, Storage Drive + NH600 Knockoff

Okay so it's an HiMD data drive. But does will it record my music too? Back then md-data and md wasn't the same thing. Now since HiMD can store data anyway, what does it mean when they say HiMD data? And yeah, i'd go with the bookshelf hookup to a computer idea. Just that some may already have a bookshelf and would just rather have an internal drive they can dump their music in. -
Hi-MD User Manuals, Storage Drive + NH600 Knockoff

Argn, why an external drive, i hate external drives with all their wires. They should make it internal, and put it into their vaio laptop or something. -
Okay, so it displays japanese characters. Does it display unicode?

My gumstick has been running my MT877 for 4 years now and needed replacement. Most retailer and etailer charge 30$ for a new gumstick. I looked on ebay instead. I know that there are a lot of fakes going around and i heard that to make sure you're getting the real NH-14MW you have to look for the packages with the stamina designation and the japanese scribles on them. I made the mistake to buy one from hong kong, though i made sure it looked like the real thing, but on the first charge the battery expanded and i was just lucky enough to get the cell out of my MT877 cause it was stuck real tight in there. I think the separator in the cell must be damaged and shorting and cooking my battery. DAMN. So can someone tell me how to discern the real things from the fakes?

Ahh see, that's my problem. I bought the unit from ebay and it doesn't come along with ANYTHING. No cable, no cd, no charger, no remote. Would you be so kind to indicate where i might get sharp's netmd driver? Thanks.
-
well, can you? and just by the way, can you also use sony's usb cable with sharp netmd interchangably? is it the same usb a to usb b5?
-
Can someone please get a picture of the unit opened? We got enough pics of the unit's exterior.
-
I have a sharp mt877 and an AA battery in the battery pack WILL recharge the gumstick, though i suppose it will stop charging at an equilibrium state... But i don't know if it'd be a good idea to hook up wires to that thing.
-
I would have liked to see the unit opened. Oh well.
-
No? Do you have a pic for us?

Uhm... how about spinning a magnet?
