Has anyone any advice on which editing software is the best/cheapest/easiest to use etc etc etc.... I'm looking to edit recordings of my band. Any Help would be top. Cheers, Batesy.

Kurisu I have pre-ordered the 800 plus a stereo mic from soundprofessional which will ship tomorrow I'm told. I'll be looking to use my MD (like most people on here) to record live music. I've noted your suggestion of Total Recorder and I've downloaded a version. It's freeware and I think it's the standard version 3.3. Any idea will this older version do the trick or will I have to pay the $13 for the newer??

Anyone know what the quality is going to be like in the most compressed format. i.e to get 45 hours of music on 1 disc?? My guess is it must be well dodgy. Will anyone even use this feature????
