I can't get it to load, either.

Does Hi-MD better have sound quality over the Ipod?
The Rule replied to minidisciskewl's topic in The Loft
Lol. Wow. -
I don't even know where to begin on this. What I [think] I'm getting out of this, is you want some sort of touch screen only walkman, that uses a "Blu-Ray MiniDisc" if you will, and records video via built-in (?) camera and is backwards compatible with legacy MiniDiscs and Hi-MD's. Theoretically, if Sony did develop this..."Blu-Ray MD" I can only assume wouldn't be anywhere near the storage of a real Blu-Ray disc, which would really defeat the point of it. And this device you speak of, with all of these state-of-the-art features that on top of making a new format, they'd have to develop...I mean, it's a really tall order. This is a nice dream, and it's neat that you took a little time to dream this up, but that's all it's ever going to be; a dream. I'm honestly not trying to sound like a jerk, but it's just never going to happen.

So...still no timetable for the T-Station to return?

Some sort of member blogs would be pretty sweet. Although I'm sure that's not what it is...

I can't. How come he can and we can't?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm down for that.

Dangit, I need my fix of yellow t-boardy goodness.

I was wondering what happened.

I did, about 3 or so years ago. MiniDisc just didn't suit my personal needs anymore at that point, so I bought a 40 GB 4th Gen iPod (still works, by the way) and from then on out I realized that DAP's were really just more for me. I enjoyed using my N10 back then, but carrying around and using MD's just became annoying to me all of a sudden.

I use my PC to listen to my Music about 70% of the time. The rest of the time, I have one of my CD's blasting in my Car. A quick look at iTunes reveals that I have (a pretty pedestrian) 2,982 tracks.

I'd say Fry, from Futurama. "Fry, didn't you have ad's in the 21st century?" Fry: "Well sure, but not in our dreams. Only on TV and radio, and in magazines, and movies, and at ball games... and on buses and milk cartons and t-shirts, and bananas and written on the sky. But not in dreams, no siree."

Hm, I tend to get rid of my electronic devices once they get a little 'too' old. I'm not a big fan of keeping old junk around. Assuming we're talking about "electronic devies" that we use for entertainment and not other things like Microwaves or Refrigerators, I'd have to say the oldest device I have in my house that I still use is my Sega Dreamcast.

100 bucks? Slide me some ER6i's insted.

Both of my Minidisc units have been in felt pouches tucked away in a drawer for about a year straight now. My main devices are my iPods, which I keep on my computer desk on their docks.

I'd say my most visited sites are ESPN.com, and GotFuturama.com. I visit a couple Torrent sites also, quite often.

Sorry that it worked out like that for you with the USB Connector. I have one, works wonderfully for me.

Nintendo DS and Mario Kart DS. Good stuff, next I'm gonna get the Wi-Fi connector so I can play it online.

That would be mad cool. As long as it's not an iRiver H320 or a 1st generation iPod that he throws. Those things could give you brain damage if they hit you in the Head.
-
You mentioned Drag and Drop... My iRiver H320 has (When it still worked, anyways) Drag and Drop, and personally I thought it had to be the most annoying way to fill up any high capacity player. Every single track had to be tagged perfect, or else it would be hard to find once inside. Ugh, just thinking about it brings back bad memories. I'm sure some people find it nice, though. But I can't stand it. Also, you said you have lots of MP3's you want to listen to on the move. I say go for a HDD Player, maybe even a Flash Player if you're MP3 collection isn't that big. Minidisc and HDD/Flash can co-exist quite well, although Minidisc is more of a specialty format to me now. Not sure as which HDD/Flash Player to suggest, though.

The iPod Mixer isn't really a bad idea. Although, I don't think it can change the Pitch of songs, and that's what I really would want it to do.

Up to an hour listening to music. I don't play PC games but I'd say I mess around on the Internet for around 2 hours a day... And I watch around 4 hours of TV (Sometimes more) a day...mainly because I watch alot of NBA games, and those go 2 hours or longer.

Surprisingly, no it doesn't really slow down my PC at all. I can multitask with really no problem (although my PC is more for Music and Movies and such then any kind of real work )... I honestly don't see much of a difference from when I had just the regular XP Theme to what I use now (But I'm not exactly the most Computer-Literate guy either, so I could be missing something)...the only thing that really seems to slow my PC down is iTunes for some reason, without iTunes my Memory is around the high 30's...with it playing it jumps to the mid-high 60's.
