Hi folk! I buy my MZ-NH900 in October 2004 and write first time one 1GB Hi-MD and after 6 month one more withou problem. On summer 2005 I have mechanical problem with disc loader and go to service, in service replace optical block. During Christmas sale I buy 10 1GB Hi-MD and get access error how many from us (writing after 700MB). I have problem only with 1GB Hi-MD old type MD write in Hi-MD mode without problem in any speed Hi-SP and PCM. 2 day ago I buy MZ-RH710 ($130)and retry Hi-MD discs with new unit, discs work properly in live recording (PCM) and with SS 3.4 352kb/s. And fortunately this disks properly read my NH900. I think bug exist in writing module (may be problem explain not complete erasing during write). Unfortanetely waranty fo my NH900 expired (in Russia only 1 year) and I can only use as player. With kind regards yup.

Answer very simple. During Christmas sale I buy package 5 Hi-MD all this disk have same defect. I can not write more than 780-800MB. I try write on my MD recorder old Hi-MD and ordinary MD without problem. Now I plane contact with Sony dealer. With kind regards yup.

Syrius this disk I peek from package before writing. I think dirt was inside recorer. I split DVD on 2 part and record separattely from begin disc. After I upload to SS and combine all O'k. yup.

No I have DVD-ROM. I try compare software decoding (DVD Decrypter as ripper and Besweet as audio decoder). When I made first sample using digital input I listen high frequency better than using software. Today I can not listen my Hi-MD player an end disc, after time increase to 66 minute smooth play break and begin jerky play with pause 2-10 seconds. Now I split DVD music on two part and try one more. yup.

Hi folk. I spent 1 hour and 10 minute for writing music from DVD use optical input on my recorder MZ-NH900. When I try upload to computer use SS 3.4 afer 15 minute I get message. Failed to Read the Data. Untitled On disk only one file writed in PCM and size approx 90Mb. May be need this file divide on many part? Main reason for upload sound not loud and I want normalize. I use blank Hi-MD from package. Please advise. With kind regards yup.

Hi folk! Approx 1 year ago I write to MD in Hi-SP mode from tape 54 min english language lessons for my daughter. Then I use Hi-MDrenderer for conversion to wav and burn using Nero. Now I try use new SS 3.4 which can make Audio CD and have problem. SS write that transferred 50% and do not make Audio CD, this can be any quantity time until I do cancel process. SS write that track 17 can not transferred without any explanation. Then I convert tracs to wav formak and burn using Nero. I try write any track all work O’k. Today I have same result with Hi-MD wrote through optical input. Why? With kind regards yup.

Thanks to all for reply. I use Hi-MD disc. And if read speed approx 9Mb/s speed upload for PCM could be 5-6 time faster than real. I use new disc from package. With kind regards yup.

Hi folk! Recently I install SS 3.4 and try new upload feature for Hi-SP and PCM files. For Hi-SP all work fine relatively fast, but I can try upload PCM from Hi-MD written by optical cabel from DVD it is work very slowly 30 minute music upload approx 10 minute. It is normal? With kind regards yup.

Hi folk! Mainly I keep my minidisc in pocket in standardt packages upper clother during autumn and winter time. During last try append to my Hi-MD some quantity music I listen silent during 1 to 3 second. I think that problem t my player or software, but when I write to new Hi-MD all work without problem. I open disc and show surface and see some small dust. I try use cotton buds, but after use I see small scratch. please advise best way for clean disc surface. With kind regards yup.

During transfer SP mode encoding take place inside MD unit, not in SonicStage. Digital Right Management. yup.

Hi folk! During cold time I do not use separated connector and use only jog dial on player. During play when I want stop playing, player go to the next song. This take place very frequently. May be any other has this problem advise me how solve one. With kind regards yup.

Thank You dex Otaku! All work. At home I try use SS 2.0 without succes, at work I install SS 2.2. After rip in OMA PCM I transfer to Hi-MD without conversion all O'K. Once more Thank You.

Before I have expirince with ATRAC CD DNE-9 and litle interested about ATRAC. If it can not make SonicStage I need use optical in? With kind regards yup.

Hi folk! Advise simple way write wav file (LPCM format no compression) to Hi-MD. I read FAQ that SonicStage higher 2.1 make it, but when I want transfer file to Hi-MD I can not choose LPCM format (only ATRAC3 or ATRAC3+). Or I need use optical input?
