I had a similar problem twice. Simple Burner wouldn't work. When I turned on Sonic Stage 2.3 , a Sonic Stage Restore Tool came on. The message indicated that this was a common problem after performing a System Restore operation. I had performed such an operation a day or so before the problem occured with Sonic Stage. The Sonic Stage Restore Tool connected to the Internet, and then everything worked properly. I don't know how to turn on the Sonic Stage Restore Tool independently -- it just came on when I turned on Sonic Stage. Good luck.
