  1. Only had problems with Hi-Space - had one jam in my car head unit due to the metal shutter breaking in the player! Managed to get it out though.
  2. Yeah. Thing is, I got really excited about the native MP3 thing.
  3. Hi, I'm selling my Sharp MD-DR370H on amazon.co.uk if anyone is interested? The uncapped 8mW volume knocks spots off Sony's 2.5 mW UK limit! The unit is in mint condition. Click on "2 Used" in the more buying choices box. Mine is the one going for £30. > Link < UK only I'm afraid. Mike
  4. I've not had a chance to see the RH710 in he flesh yet (qed-uk.com lied about having them in stock), so you're probably right if the quality if the RH10 is anything to go by. The RH10's display is quite impressive, but as I tend to keep portable players in my pocket it's not a killer feature. A LCD remote on the other hand would have made a big difference. I just got a big sinking feeling when I first handled the RH10 - bring back aluminum construction please Sony. Mike
  5. Doh! qed-uk.com were lying when they said that they had the MZ-RH710 in stock... bugger... So I won't be able to test. Mike
  6. My MZ-RH710 should arrive on monday. Will try it out and let you know...
  7. qed-uk.com claim to have them in stock for £99 But they don't!
  8. Just ordered my MZ-RH710. Sold my "only owned for a day" MZ-RH10 on ebay last week http://shorterlink.co.uk/3910 . I sold it because I don't think it's worth the money, plasticy construction, no lcd remote, no stand, etc, and to think it's the top of the range! Hoping the RH710 is worth it.... cost £95 from qed-uk.com - they have some in stock at the mo.
  9. There are plenty of e-tailers showing the RH710 on their webpages, but none have them in stock. Amazon.co.uk says "4 to 6" weeks which is the same as "not available"!
  10. Hi, Has anyone got a MZ-RH710 yet? If so where did you get it (and in which country).... and how much did it cost? Ta, Mike
  11. It's really not worth the money at the current price. I'm a die hard minidisc fan and was mega disappointed. The unit really feels cheap (yes it looks good I know). The exclusion of a lcd remote is madness. The display is excellent but a lcd is good enough for a "on the move" player. You can do an awful lot better with the best part of £200 at the moment. I'd say that this unit (that's the european model) should sell for £130 - £140. Mike
  12. I'm selling mine on ebay. Unused. Colour: black. http://shorterlink.co.uk/3902 Just spotted this hack too http://shorterlink.co.uk/3901 so you can remove the volume limitation.
  13. Agreed. Compared to other "top end" models the RH10 looks and feels very cheap and plasticy. Feature-wise it is excellent though. I'm afraid mine went straight onto ebay. The 710 is a better value for money product if you don't want to make live recordings. Mike
  14. Don't want to wait until the are in stock? I'm selling one on ebay in the UK eBay UK
  15. It's the "4 to 6 weeks" bit I don't like
  16. Hi, I'm selling my XA300 on ebay at the moment. It's only 2 months old. A great solution to playing your new Hi-MD in the car! XA300 on eBay Sorry its the UK only for this one. Cheers Mike
  17. See adamfarden's reply earlier in this thread. I wouldn't trust them myself.
  18. Wow... so are they officially released or not then? Surely if Sony themselves are selling it they are?
  19. vicalam, can you recommend any HK online store where we can order from ?
  20. Dabs.com prices look pretty good. If only they where in stock!
  21. Has anyone had any experiences on importing one? If so how much did it end up costing with duty and postage? Cheers Mike
  22. Is anyone aware of anywhere that has any of the 2nd Generation units in stock? AVLand and Dabs list the new players but neither have them in stock. Cheers Mike
  23. Last Thursday I purchased a Creative Zen Touch 40gb, having been a loyal minidisc user for many years. I'd spent a lot of time looking at al the HD Players and thought I'd chosen well. Boy was I mistaken. The first thing the player displayed on power-up was "Firmware Problem". Dissapointment started to set in. Eventually I got the player working, having flashed the firmware with the latest version, but his was short lived. After several freezed, locks and many resets I took took player back. The store assistant wasn't at all suprised and imediately offered me my money back. I was probably unlucky and had bought a duff player, but having now searched on Google for "zen touch firmware problem" it seems I'm not the only one. Anyway, having got my money back I'm sticking to my good (not so) old HiMD player. Cheers Mike
