  1. I swear to you that this is not made up but i was talking to a friend of mine at school and he says: "Oh so guess what happened as i was listening to u2 ipod today"

    me: "wha?"

    "right channel.. gone"

So that's 3/3 people I know whose broke - but his did last a fair'ish' 6months whereas me and the other guy only got just under 2months.

He's going to get his repaired but really I don't want to get mine done because i didn't like them in teh first place that much and i've found the panasonic equivalents (secretly better) at only £18 ebay.

I don't think it's a matter of us being unlucky .. but you guys being lucky.

Also - I took so much care of these earphones .. as well as my friend - we're both pretty sad and are constantly obsessing over like placing our walkmans or woteva down gently and making sure it never gets scratched... ... actually we're really sad :S

add me to the list. 4/4 . I will ask for a refund.

  2. I bought a pair of mdr-ex71 twon months ago. The sound is good (not very good), but the construction sucks, no kidding!. I can see the metal cables inside the rubber cover on the cable that goes from the left earphone to the right earphone. I have used the earphones only when walking and come on! only two months old! (i will ask for a refund)

  3. I own a pair of mdr-ex71 (only difference is sound quality). If you wear them properly and if they fit right in your ears they won't fall out.

ps: if you want the ex51 for running, you must know that they present microphonics.

  4. I don't think it's interference. The minidisic stills under warranty? If so, I recommmend you to take to a sevice center. OOh, another thing... maybe the disc or discs could be defective, so try several ones.

  5. if this issue happened just when you were playing it's probably vibration that makes your drum bases to skip. Try to put the player in another site.

  6. Yeh mate I have the same question. And thanks for reminding me to take the MD outta the cradle from charging all today :P

I accidentally left the MD charging in the cradle for about 4 days I think it was... and on the night of the 3rd and 4th days... I would always hear this very high pitched buzz... I thought it might have just been my ears... but it was so annoying on the 4th night, I got outta bed, and walked round the room till it became louder, and I found out it was the AC adapter making the noise!

I quickly took the power out of the wall, and the buzz descended in pitch till it stopped!!

Even if I leave the unit charging for 2 hrs.. I take the power out, and listen to the metal points in the power adapter... and there is a soft descending buzz! :P

    That’s the side effects!?

:o Never heard something like that. I'll be careful. Thanks

  7. "the eternal sunshine of a spotless mind". Simply beatiful

Watched a brilliant film-documentary, Downfall; depicting the last of Adolf Hitler in his bunker below the Reich Chancellery.

Hey Ishi did you realized that the moie shows several people dying (even kids!) and it doesn't shows Hitler dying? :o (a great film btw)

  8. I have a question about deleting:

What happens if I import a mp3 song into SS, transfer it to my minidisc in hisp mode for example. Then I restart SS and in My Library I erase the imported track and check the "delete this file from the computer box". What will be erased , the original mp3, the converted file in optimized folder or both?

  9. whhhoooaaa

I wanna see these shiny things with hi-md

    Model Number is PCGA-MDN1.

I found a shop for Germany:

    http://www.directshopper.de/sony-vaio-pcga...ttenlaufwerke_p its 200 Euros:

    [attachmentid=780]

I am not sure but it may only fit into these NV series notebooks:

    [attachmentid=781]

This seems to be a special interface you can use for several things like a num-block, data drives,.. :

When they released this thing? (looks wonderful btw)

  10. I think that your unit's optical head is defective.

About recovering the info: You could do a toc cloning from another disc. I have a similar problem once and solved that way.

    http://www.minidisc.org/cloning_procedure.html

There is a procedure for cloning toc. the article is written for a deck but you can do it with your portable. You have to enter service mode (do it at your own risk!) so search you model's way to enter it and be very carefull while you are in it.

Let me know if you solve the problem

  11. Hello everyone

I'm wondering if it's a bad thing to let the charging cradle always connected to the power with the AC Adaptor. Would it be bad for the adaptor or the charging stand maybe? If I'm not charging the unit, would the cradle be using any power or it would be in something like a "stand by mode"?

    Thanks for your time
