i think the t**ts who did this have ben targeting all the message boards they could find that have a similar exploit... i recieved similar emails from 3 msg boards i am a member of... good job i noticed and deleted them all before i looked at them...

UPDATE: if anyone is interested the amazon availability has gone down to "usually dispatched within 1 to 2 weeks" which is a darn site better than 4 to 6 weeks!! i guess not too long before they get some quantities into stock AdamF

Amazon.co.uk have it listed now http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...6431399-8864444 ih's going for £159.99 so its the cheapest reputable company in the UK so far. howeaver it says 'usually dispatched within 4 to 6 weeks' so we'll have to keep an eye on availability for now hopefully that'll change once they get some stock in!

actually a quick update, i emailed avland about the price differences and they sent this to me: Hi, Unfortunately we can’t match their price on this occasion as they are in short supply. They won’t have the LCD remote either as Sony UK/Europe are only selling 1 version that comes with a non-LCD remote. In Japan they are shipping with an LCD remote which we used to have pictured on our website. Cheap Electricals have just lifted the information (Illegally) word for word from our website including the Japanese picture that we had previously on our website. Our website now displays the correct remote, which I am in no doubt they will probably copy too. Thanks Kingsley www.avland.co.uk well thats a bummer for all us UK folks who want the full package, they're gonna try and fob us off with a crappy remote!! gonna see now how easy it is to get a replacement LCD remote here in the UK. if its too expensive atleast i got the lcd remote from my trusty MZ-N707!

avland.co.uk sell them for £199.95 but from the looks of it they dont ship it with the LCD remote but rather a crappy button remote. http://www.cheapelectricals.co.uk/acatalog...April_2005.html howeaver this place is selling them for £159.98 and it does look like they are selling it with the LCD remote!! jus click the red info link on that page and it list it amongst the features. both sites only offer the black version at the moment. also if you put "MZ-RH10" in a search at amazon.co.uk they atleast acknowledge that it exists now, but say its discontinues or out of stock. hopefully they'll have it soon as they usually have good prices.
