  1. no new rock here plz, but if you like that old time rock n roll check this out. I have the release of Nokings here, and I've already made one MD cover by altering the album and stuff and I just ordered a mass of discs. What I'm proposing is this, you send me a disc with whatever you want on it, and I will send you a Nokings album with album art. I live with these guys, they are pretty great to listen to. For a sample load nokingsmusic.com Its a local Austin Tx band, this will be their first and probably only release under that name, we burned the discs ourselves so we are our own unnamed label so there. I just have to get this out there, it is too good to not share. Just check with garyc, I sent him one.
  2. I got mine from garyc a while ago, but I was out of town. I'd have to say I was pleasantly suprised with the disc! here's the track listing that he oh so nicely sent me! 1. Close To You (live) – The Doors 2. Memphis Soul Stew (live) – King Curtis 3. Sympathy For The Devil (live ‘69) – The Rolling Stones 4. But Anyway (live ’94) – Blues Traveller 5. Honky Tonk Woman (live ’71) – Ike & Tina Turner 6. Crazy Daisy’s House Of Dreams – Mama’s Boys 7. We’re A Winner (live) – Curtis Mayfield 8. Summertime – Joe Williams 9. Down In A Hole (unplugged) – Alice In Chains 10. Rock ‘n Soul Music – Country Joe & The Fish 11. What I Got – Sublime 12. When I Was Young – The Animals 13. Little Guitars – Van Halen 14. Fly Me To The Moon – Julie London 15. Twenty-Five Miles – Edwin Starr 16. Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay – Peggy Lee 17. Driftin’ – Canned Heat 18. I Could Have Lied – Red Hot Chili Peppers 19. I Can See Clearly Now – Holly Cole 20. Exploration – The Karminsky Experience Inc.
  3. Excellent advice, I've cleaned out many a corroded contact with this exact same methodology
  4. I find 'music and computer freaks' usually to be interesting people. 'tv freaks' are so... boring...
  5. Wow, just found a JE440 for 50$, think I'm going to jump on that.

    Avatar Thread!

Happy happy happy... joy joy joy! I've got a new avatar I just made. I'll probably get around to uploading it after xmas. edit: under the sea
  9. I dont know, I keep them on (and away from my tape storage!)
  10. I would advise keeping that playlist open so you can divide up the one huge track that was recorded into the individual tracks. Then you get to label all the songs, if you want. A great deal at 15$ What exactly does the digital pc link say on it, any model #s?

    Mini Disk Help

First of all, it matters on what recorder you have. Second, it matters in what format you recorded in. What I have heard is possible is to TOC clone from another disc (that TOC would consist of one track spanning the entire disc, at the same format that you recorded it on.) Did the recorder lose power before the TOC was written? When my sharp dr7 worked I was super anal about power cycling it after every track (if I had time) just to constantly update the TOC. good luck, a lost recording is a super bummer.
  12. well my other computer has 2 500mhz processors, it should be good. Dug up an old scsi drive with win2k already installed, updating, pray for the best.
  13. Maybe I should try reinstalling from the internet version instead of the standalone? I've already installed it twice from the standalone.
  14. Hey, I liked your old hippo avatar, but switching to birdman is even better yes, I could dual boot, but no XP, only 2kpro. Is XP absolutely required? maybe that's why I couldnt get it to intstall on 98 By the way kurisu, using open MG to burn to MD takes about 30 minutes for an album (that is already mounted on the drive) making open MG both read the disc AND convert to atrac and burn to MD... christ I let it go overnight. I dont like doing that though, it makes my 510 spin for almost an hour. (for the record, I've done that once. Never again)
  15. are you talking about one of these?
  16. My only windows box is a 233mhz laptop running win98 I've tried installing SS3.3 but to no avail (metallic.dll?) so I use openmg with daemon tools and an .nrg file. Aggrivating, but it works.
  17. on the bike ride to work I was jammin Bitches Brew - Miles Davis.
  18. I would have asked for some, but knowing my folks I'm better off just ordering it for myself. (which I did)
  19. I'm in the game! LP2 or 4 I'm sure if it's worthy of burning and mailing to me, it's worthy me listening to it, any type of music is ok This is a good excuse to make some cool mixtapes
  20. Thanks for recording this! it sounds great, I was having a problem with stereo separation, but it's this laptop's fault Once you finish mastering it please post the whole thing!
  21. Personally I think ipods die too quickly for their cost and I hate the interface (no using it as flash memory? Proprietary format?) Unit needs to be functioning accessories/manual a plus but not mandatory must have line in, this is mandatory!! if yours can only download through usb seriously I dont want it looking specifically for the sony r900 or sharp dr7 models but i'm testing the waters. contact at max.shell@gmail.com
