  1. Mine is GP 1450 mAh Chinese made (www.gpbatteries.com.hk/html/products/rechargeable_hydride.html); 100mAh deeper charge than the original, works fine. I bought it in a batteries shop across the street for around 5.5 USD. Here in Moscow I could order it online for a dollar less. I guess they should be everywhere in the world...
  2. Privet! Hey there! Sounds wonderful. Where this destination code can be changed? On the unit? In service mode? I just try this on my Mac... No luck! HiMDMusicTransfer20 doesn't accept Russian characters. And I have no PC. But I would try it on my friend's PC. Nikita

    MZ-RH10 Help

MY G4 is pretty old. It runs MacOSX 10.4.8. I could never point SonicStage to my MZ-RH10. While Windows sees it and it is accessible as USB device, SS doesn't see it at all. It has never seen it. Plus VirtualPC runs dead cold slowly on my machine.

    MZ-RH10 Help

Hey there, seems like you need SonicStage 3.4 or later (up to 4.0). This program will run only on a PC. I also own an Mz-RH10 and a Mac. I also miss Sony's support for Macs. And when I need to reorganize my records I look for a neighborhood PC because I have no luck with SonicStage on VirtualPC. Sony's support for Mz-RH10 on Mac is limited. You can only send MP3 on your Mz-RH10 and that's it. 1) SS 3.4 or newer allows to eliminate rights management, thus you can up/download your records many times even with previously copied tracks. You can find both SS 3.4 and 4.0 in the downloads section of this forum. 2) I never had a problem like this with SonicStage. You can transfer entire groups and they stay groups in the SS library. But if you want later to see them organized in folders on the harddisk à la iTunes, I guess you have to do this manually. 3) Here, I'm afraid you need to find a PC, convert your tracks to WAV files. After this you can do anything with them. Good luck

    RH1 and Mp3s

You can do this through HiMD Music Transfer version 2.0. It is available in the Downloads section of the forum (http://forums.minidisc.org/downloads/details.php?file=95). You can drag&drop MP3 while the program is running. The program interface itself represents a specially organized tracklist where you can add/delete, change grouping/trackorder, and edit track titles. But it surely works on Macs.
  6. Wow! They even let RH10 users do something with Mac! I downloaded, installed (first the installer requires to de-install the previous Hi-MD Music Transfer program which was installed "just in case it will work with RH10"). This is what we have: G4 with MacOS 10.4.7 MZ-RH10 The first impression is disappointing: No help, no system requirements, not even software version indicated. The software is made with no love. 1st try Hi-MD 1Gb inserted In good traditions of the software making IT DOESN'T EVEN START. At all. Well actually it does but immediately quits unexpectedly. 2nd try RH10 is not attached at all Software starts and shows its laconic interface. Looks quite a bit less minimalist as in v.1 though. When RH10 is attached the program doesn't notice that. I found no way to say to the program that RH10 is attached and have 1G Hi-MD in it. No LUCK. Further efforts to re-open/re-start are not fruitful. 3d try 80min MD inserted See 1st try. 4th try Blank Hi-MD 1G inserted Same luck 5th try RH10 attached, no disk is mounted No luck Conclusion Let's wait for version 2.9 which will probably start at least.
  7. The Beta format became strictly professional. Most TV/Movie devices use the same Betacam cassette formfactor: Betacam SP (last analog); Digital Betacam; HDCam (the one Lucas used for StarWars). But as far as I know in the movie industry only few the sound professionals use MD and rather as a backup in case something is wrong with their DAT tapes or HDD recorders. Last time I was participating in the shooting the sound guy used HDCAM camera's two sound tracks as main recording media.
  8. Hello there, Who knows if Sony will support in their new generation hi-md this "must have" of most MP3 players/recorders? What about Cyrillics support? I bought my RH10 in Canada and this one definitely does not support it (actually Russian characters can be written/read in SS 4, but not on the unit's display). If somebody acquired some hi-mds in Russia I'd like to know if Sony.Russia did at least something to solve the problem with Cyrillic support?
  9. Thank you very much. I guess my post was not precise enough. I mean download (from the unit to the computer with later WAV conversion). I remember I could do the same download on someone else's PC and SS 3.2 or something.
  10. Unable to transfer the following tracks to My Library because they are recorded by Net MD or another computer. This is what SonicStage gives me instead of good transfer. All tracks recorded in Hi-MD mode transferred without problems. Everything recorded on old generation MD can not be transferred. I tried to find the solution with no luck. The problem is that I'm on MAC and have WindowsXP PC just for couple of weeks. Please guide me, what to do!
