How does the sound quality compare between these two devices? Please let me know as im planning on getting the A818 Btw for those that do not know bout the nokia n91, it has sound quality that easily surpasses sony ericsson walkman phones and ALL ipod models released to date. or research it on google about the n91 sound But please do let me know asap peepz, is so important i hear from u guys, got a 13-hour flight next week Cheers guys and girls

to fahad2mail, oh trust me the nokia n91 sound is completely to you typical nokia sound, its brilliant but hey just got the nw-s706 yesterday and its truely amazing, its got a wide soundstage (which is pleasant to hear) plus the active noise cancelling works like its meant to...battery life too is excellent and the best thing is there doesn't seem to be any evidence of the EU volume capping!!

Just wanted to know if the nw-s706 has the same sound output level as the nw-eoo5 or better because i found the e005 indoors to be loud enough but outside just pure rubbish! Thanks in advance

its not that bad!....it used to be buggy before but now it works fine....its layout is good but i agree isnt as good as the itunes...all you want to do is just to transfer your songs to the player and its more that devent for it...its simple to use As for your new sony mp3 player...if you think the ipod had great sound prepare to be dazzled by the sound of it...trust me it whoops the whole ipod range i nsound quality....you wont believe until you hear enjoy

Its because i just want to buy the nw-s706...i want to buy one but it depends on the sound quality...i have the n91 and trust me it has killer sound...it says hi-fi quality sound on the box too...jus wanted to know the sound quality...if someone could fill me in on the sound quality of the sony device and if it matches the n91 sound it would be welcome thanks

oh right...i live in london so i have the euro volume capping on mine and believe me its very quiet when i use it on the train well good luck i do reccomend buying a new one...i just sold my nw-s603 to get the nw-s706 woohoo

well at the moment there is no sign of such of it happening...its safe to say sony have solved this problem so you can be confident in buying a new one... The only thing you may need to be worried about is the volume output of the new player...i just hope it isnt as diabolical as the nw-e005

i reccomend the sennheisercx300...theyre brilliant trust me it just plays the song as its meant to......its better than most of the sony's in ear headphones plus its low impendance means you dont need to turn up your mp3 player to hear your songs...its not expensive and theyre so light i even forget theyre in my ear sometimes.... Beware though there are a few fakes around so use amazon to buy them

i recommend u not sending it of man... i mean with the money u pay for the cleaning plus probs another £30 you can get the noise cancelling nw-s705 units with better battery colour screen and better sound...well thats wot i did

you to be honest i suggest leaving it...ive tried it for 3-4 months from removing the screws on either side of the usb to throwing the damn thing at a wall...its just impossible...i guess we just gotta live with it... I dont think the new mp3 players have any such problem but time will tell Peace ppl and have a gud life

Hello there ive owned the NW-E005 for nearly a year now...ive been listening to the sony stock headphones for some time now but they broke last week My mates are recommending the sennheiser px200 but due to the low output of the player do u think its loud enough to listen to it say outside? Would you reckon it will be as loud as the sony headphones that came with it? Please reply asap Many thanks!

Does the NW-E005 have same quality playback as the NW-A1200?? Im thinking of getting the NW-A1200 and i currently own the NW-E005 player...i just wanted to now if the hard-drive based player is as good as or even better than the flash player?? Many thanks in advance

hello there, i have the nw-e005 mp3 player...brilliant music player better than the ipod nano I have had this ever since it was first released in UK (a very long time ago) but now i have so much dust collected under the screen its just irritating The dust gets through the gaps around the buttons and into the main screen where it messes up what you see on the screen Does anyone know how you can remove the plastic casing to remove the dust...please it is very important as i cannot see the battery indicator and the shuffle icons on the screen Many thanks btw anyone else with similar issues please report here biggrin.gif cheers

Thanks so much..i had doubts about the volumew of particular headphones with the mp3 player..such as the sony in-ear onesa that passively cancels all outside noise..they were so quiet but i hope the senns r loud enough...i heard sennheisers have low bass..i dont mean tinny but the fact that its so low its nearly inaudible...is this true??

One guy on google has a huge collection of service manuals for all kinds of sony products...he also has a service manual for the sony nw-e00x series but he charges $7 for it....ill place an order and see what i get
