I don't think it will be compatible, so don't try. It may just damage your player in the process, just wait until the FW is released, though I don't think it matters that much if you upgrade your FW, seeing as how it always seems to be just minor updates.

Since the NW-S70x series is in color, I bet it will be very expensive, my budget is not exceeding 200 bucks, and 1GB should be more than enough, since I'm using Sony's ATRAC3 Plus, I can get about 680+ songs on the player. Okay I've a question for anyone who own the NW-E00x series (the one-line display player). Does the player: 01. Support All Artists/Songs Function? This is when you want to play all the songs available/uploaded to the player, cause my NW-E507 has that, and I always use that function and play it on Shuffle. So I get songs played randomly. Seems like NW-E00x don't have it? Correct me if I'm wrong? 02. Does NW-E00x has any equalizer? Thanks for the reply kerfuffle.

I've a few question, I've the NW-E507 for eight months now, seems like the metallic part of the player, tends to get scratch easily, and it's beginning to get black stains on it? Does it happen to anyone? Well that's not really my main concern, haha, I'm giving this player away to my sister and am looking forward to a new Sony player, so far upcoming player seems intriguing like this one: http://www.atraclife.com/2006/10/05/like-s...eries/#more-145 I don't really fancy the metallic part, cause I'm sure it will get somewhat "corroded" or just lose its lustre in a couple of months (won't look shiny anymore) BUT, it seems like the function and stuff are really good, should I wait and pick this up or, should go for the thumdrive type which has been out a couple of months, I think it's the NW-E00x series? The one-line display player (this is another thing, I'm not sure if I'll get use to, since I'm already native to the 3-line display screen of the NW-E507). What do you guys think I should go for? 01. The upcoming: http://www.atraclife.com/2006/10/05/like-s...eries/#more-145 or 02. NW-E00x Series? Thanks.

Not really, I've the same player, uploaded 699 songs in ATRAC3 Format, and all of them played smooth and normal, maybe you should upgrade your SonicStage! By the way, does the metal part of your player. tends to get scratch and seems to "corrode" easily? I'm beginning to get black stains on it, in just eight months...

I mistook this thing for a torchlight once at CNET.com ignoring the fact that I'm browsing their section under MP3 Player.

Hey, thanks, didn't know they released a new version of SS, everything worked now!

I'm not sure if it's just me or the SS 3.4? I've a habit of editing my MP3 ID3 Tags in Winamp, especially Version 2 of the tag, whenever I edit the version 2 part of the ID3 tag, SS 3.4 will crash when I import the audio files into the program and a dialogue box will pop up with the option to "End Now" some omgaudio.exe is giving some problems, but when I leave the ID3 tag alone and unedited, the files imports fine, most of the information on my MP3 are inaccurate and I just wish to edit them for organizing sake, is anyone else experiening the same problem?

"Btw,when you put mp3files on your player using sonicstage, it automaticly converts the music files to the atrac format (except if you chose to put AAC on it without conversion -god i love that option- ). Anyway, a really strange bug, hopefully the ppl from this forum can help u (am new here )." I'm not sure if it's a bug or anything, but I did a test too, this seems to only happened when the player is connected to the family computer, but when I connect the player to my own (PC) the files didn't duplicate, just to make doubly clear of the situation, here how the problems starts/begins: 01. Whenever the player is connected to the PC (family PC), it loads just fine. 02. BUT when we accessed "My Computer" and double-click on the Removable Storage... 03. We see a folder automatically created named "Music" beside the normal usual OMGAUDIO folder and... 04. It seems to only COPY/DUIPLICATE songs that are already transferred/WITHIN the player So let's say if we have 115 songs, yes E003F actually make copies of the 115 ATRACplus3 files into MP3 files and even organized them into folders. This eat up space so much that we're only left with 280KB sometimes. And yeah, I love that features too, auto convert when transferring, I used ATRAC format, cause it's smaller and Sony recommends it and stuff.. "Dil ,Not sure why but i think you should delete the mp3 files from SonicStage via Properties of each song (in sonicstage ) . But Before Doing this do back-up your mp3 files first . Also which version of Sonic Stage are you using ??" Hm, I did that with my E-507 player, I didn't realized it actually deletes the file off the computer itself, luckily it's only one or two songs, whoah I've to back up 115 songs and my sister has ripped about 350 songs, only 115 are chosen and choosing them back again is rather ridiculous, I'll avoid this option, but I thank you for your suggestion! "what i think it could be is that windows media player is trying to synchronize with the player, in which music in your wmp library will be transferred onto any portable player connected. try going onto windows media player and disabling auto synchronization with portable players" Yes, my sister uses Windows Media Player (WMP) to play all her songs, I'm not sure if the Sync thing is automatically set or she set it herself, cause we never really use this Sync thing, but it's worth a look.. I've yet to ask my sister to upgrade to the latest firmware, she's sort of the I-can't-be-bothered-kind-of-person, but I'll try bugging, I'm very concern, because I planned to upgrade to the E00x series myself... If I were to buy and I keep losing space, I think I'll just stay fix with my NW-E507 then!... Thank you all for your replies, but keep your suggestions coming, I hope someone will find this thread useful or something, I don't even know if my sister is the only unlucky one to have this problem, she was so happy to have this player, it's her first, now she's kind of like "screw it"....

Ah to those who owned the NW-E003, can you please confirm if your player duplicate MP3s file within your MP3, connect the player to your USB then go to "My Computer" and double-click on Removable Device (E/or whatever) and see if there's a folder named "Music" it seems to duplicate/copy/create transferred file in MP3 fomrat, because my sister converted MP3 file format to ATRAC3plus, I've created a topic here, please help if you've solution to this problem, cause it eat up space on the player... http://www.atraclife.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1794 THANK YOU!

My sister just bought the new sony model Flash player located here (http://www.atraclife.com/2006/05/25/new-walkman-accessories-for-the-nw-e00x-series/#comments), it has a slight problem, it seems to lose a lot of space right after a few transfers. My sister transferred about 115 songs on her player last night. all in ATRACplus3 format, and the last time we checked the space was about 795 MB out of 990MB (1Gig), this afternoon she decided to continue transferring again some new songs, but to our shock we're left with only 599KB, KB not MB, and we suspected something is inside the player, true enough, we checked the External Drive in "My Computer" and saw that it duplicates all songs transferrd into a new folder named "Music" all in MP3 format, this took soo much space, the more we delete it off, the more it replicate itself, is this a bug or an issue? Please help!
