Yeah, been wondering that too, but I fear there isn't another option then letting sonicstage be the asshole program it is and just ruin the compilations (it also intends to change the order of the songs of compilations as well...) Let's hope someone really comes with a nice solution
-
China is cheap in production , so pretty logic they get electronics made from there, bigger profit. Besides lots of electronic components are made in china nowadays
-
Excactly, offcourse you can put 300 songs on it , but as I said "on normal quality", I meant that you can hear the music clear enough, if you arre gonna put 300 songs of the lowest quality, you will just hear weak sound, because with compression (and then I mean mp3s and such, the lower the quality the more they cut off your mp3s, So, for example if you have a song with lots of bass, or a very nice clean song (which sounds almost as if you hear it live) and you lower it's quality by converting it to 48 kbs or so, you won't hear much of the bass, and the quality of the song will also be crappy. So what I meant is, when you want to listen to music throught your mp3player at the same nice sound as you can hear them on your pc, or cdplayer then 50-75 songs is the amount that you can get on it, if you rather want to hear the songs as if they are played from a bad radio in the next room you are standing (figuraly speaking), then yes you can put 300 on them, your choice.
-
1. Around 50-75 songs on normal bitrate (quality) 2. Yep 3. Nope, they are the same, no difference in functions
-
yea, have that kind of problem too, less bad, mine will not be recogised sometimes by cs 4, after 2 or 3 reconnects of my player it does.
-
Problem solved by reuploading the 2.00 firmware, looks like the hardware got stuck in a loop, :s the sony e003 firmware isn't perfected yet, I guess
-
I don't know in which topic to put it because i think it's something with the firmware..when I want to play a song on my e003, the only thing i get is the visual of the song on the LEDscreen, but nothing moving. Thus i don't hear anything etc. It"s like it's on "stop", but then on the playfunction, i can't even fastforward or back, it will stay on 0:00 of the song. It's with any song, I removed all songs, put new on, tried again, same problem. And it just happened. I did nothing, strangly, since the last time I used it , it was on the cycling, and it worked perfect. Anyone has that problem too?

True , I'm myself am more neutral, and even admit that ipods aren't that bad players (tested it with different phones, different players), actually they are as good as sony's, it's just that sony gives me the natural sound, which I like to hear. Anyway, what I DON'T like about apple is that they make a hype of every hardware they sell, looking at their computers, especially their overhyped players. All by doing that commercial bussines to boost their sales, I know that it's their aggresive strategy now to get good onto the market, but still, it's stupid to only pay attention to the selling (am an industrieel engineer student and could/will be in that bussines, so it kinda frustrates me). Pityfully, that's the bussines of nowadays, like mentioned in the quote

Ok it's not completely "turned off" , it's on stand-by modus, for the clock and other small internal processes, it takes a very small amount of the battery
-
Using a NW-E003 with 2.0 firmware, works perfectly for me, with shuffle song and shuffle map
-
Well I always put the powersave on maximum, however, does anyone know how it works? Does it lower the volume in time, does it lower power in total, does it put internal functions off? I am wondering it a bit, because I prefer hearing more for bigger battery cost. Thanks in advance, PS: I don't hear a difference in volume with off or supersave mode so I don't think thats the problem.
-
Nono I know it will be soon here, but i meant it to nw_lover cuz it looks like he already has it
-
Can I ask if you could post the service manual, or the service mode unlock code for us? I would already be glad if I can know more about my mp3player (am a 2nd year ICT engineer student ).

Nevermind, I went for the PMX100
-
And wow! This really gives a difference in bass and clearity in sound, thx man, DFX is great
-
Thanks, I'll test it out

Ok i looked a bit around on my own about the PMX series. And I came across 3 series PMX30 PMX40 PMX60 Now i checked up but I am wondering which one I would take, for now I am going for the PMX60,, since it's a very liked one, however I wonder if the PMX30 is good enough too, since the prices of the 30 and 60 differ (25 vs 40 euros). I don't think i'll go for the PMX40, since people say it's rubbish. Can someone here help me with the choice, should i go for the more expensive 60 or go for the 30? Thanks,
-
Does someone have these? I'm gonna buy a pair of headphones (small ones, easely and comfortable + great bass and sound quality are a must) and i came across these and I think i'll go for these, however, rather to be sure I would "hearing" someone's personal taste in these, since I think the ppl here are good in the knowledge of good audio equipment (oh no going anti-ipod )
-
I know, I rarely use the boxes, i mostly use my headphones on my laptop, but what i also mean is, are there plugins which improve the equalizer and such of winamp?
-
This is a little bit off topic for the attrac forum, but I ask it anyway. I currently have an AC97 realtek card (18 bit) on my laptop and I was wondering, which software is the best for mp3/audio playback, I am using winamp now, but I wonder if there is a better software out there. Or maybe a plugin for winamp itself. I'm someone who pays attention to bass, so it would be nice if that program also supports a good bassvolume equalizer. Greets,

I would say, the volume is average with my sennheiser phones (on max output offcourse), so it's still good enough . About the basses, yes the bass of sennheisers are really low (that's why i bought them ) but not that low its inaudable (25 hz, so you can hear it ). I think the loud basses come from the high bass output and thus having a higher amplitude instead of a lower frequence so the basses really sound loud. Believe me for hard beats/basses or dvd surround, these give more then enough satisfaction (even when I use them with my E003). Ah and the music i use them for is trance (not 100% ok phones for that music), jumpstyle (heavy beats, takes out the best of the phones), rock (sounds great and clear enough) and even ethnic (very nice sound). Ah and if you really want to take it all out , try music from "the prodigy" on them, it's just crazy . ps: http://www.eshop.nl/product_info.php?products_id=134068 if you want them very cheap (34 euro, so that surely is within the budgetlimit i think) Anyway, I don't say you should go for these, but if you want to go for the best basses and good sound quality, go for sennheiser. Sony earphones, and then i mean starting from 25/50 euro, are fine too. Less basspower though, but still good quality (almost as good/same as the sennheiser quality, I tested it).

Hmm I have an older model of a sennheiser HD 457 here, it's a "streetware" headphone so it's meant for mp3players. Anyway, allthough it's older, it has massive sound quality, especially the quality in sharpness and bass volume. It's giving me an almost cinematic feeling when I use it with my laptop (which has a louzy AC97 codec card with "software surround" and maxed THX with "star wars episode 3" (I like to test my hardware to it's maximum). And the good thing is: it doesn't cost too much, only 45 euros (28.8 Pound for u ). So it's great sound for a good price, i'd recommend u these. --Sennheiser Earphones + Sony equipment equals heavenly sounds-- Hope it'll help ya I hope the volume hack comes out though, because such equipment works better with more output then that limited european output standard..

That's a really strange bug, never heard of it before. Anyway I tested my NW-E003 for it and I only saw the typical OMGAUDIO folder with my atracaudio on it. So i think you should upgrade to the latest firmware version. http://support.sony-europe.com/DNA/WM/NWF/...?l=en&m=NW-E003 Btw,when you put mp3files on your player using sonicstage, it automaticly converts the music files to the atrac format (except if you chose to put AAC on it without conversion -god i love that option- ). Anyway, a really strange bug, hopefully the ppl from this forum can help u (am new here ).
