Most of my music collection is on 256kbps, apart from 2 what are on 352kbps.

I have never had any trouble with MD. I am using Sony's Hi-MD, and TDK MD-RXD discs.

Yes it does, As i have an UK unit and it works fine.

Mine is about 1 year old and it is an 600, that i got off of amazon for £99.99 (I think).
